I happened to be at Dom Depot today and picked up a foot long one-inch rounded end plexiglass handle for a screw on sink plunger.
My question is how long can/should such a rigid object be to fit up a normal colon without causing any damage?

Not very far. Why don't you experiment with it on your own rectum to get an idea (remember to cover it with a condom.)

Colons twist and turn. An acrylic plunger handle does not. You can do serious harm forcing that too far up someone. Spend the money on some decent insertables meant for the intended purpose.

It's around about eight inches before you hit the first sharp bend in the colon. Flexible toys are your friend when you're looking for depth.

No more than 84 inches.

(And that's from 11 years of college and a Ph.D in veterinarian medicine).
