What is your opinion on contracts between Master & submissive? I had one proposed to me that read like a business contract of a multi-national aquisition! My opinion varies depending on when it is presented in the relationship. For example, if someone who barely knew me handed me one I'd laugh as I have no interest in a man who thinks women are fungible. Some of the examples given above, however, seem perfectly reasonable. You said "fungible". ONE OF MY FAVOURITEST WORDS EVAR!! I like the idea *behind* a contract, in that writing a contract requires a lot of thought, and give and take (eep! a dom *compromise*?) and might take you down roads not thought of. That said, what is the nature of the relationship? If this is the person I intend to wake up next to, I want to be *closer* to that person, not further away. For me, a written down "this is our intent" would create distance, and the even the faintest chance of "YOU SAID YOU WOULD" is something I want to avoid. If it's a servant, then yes, I do want some kind of codification of what the servant is going to do for me, and how, because anyone can be a servant, and I don't see that as a personal thing.
