Don't celebrate too soon - the special election was just to finish out the term and there's another vote in November.

Interesting how when walker won it was the end for Obama and the dems in Nov, but when the Dems win in a special election, it is no big deal, does not mean a thing.....

Other than the fact that Walker isn't up for reelection in 5 months, and the Dem won the pity vote? It really isn't a big difference, except to your side that needs every ounce of good news it can get right now. If Barber wins in November, you can gloat all you want, ok?

And it'll go back to a blue state in November. Are you trying to make a serious point?

This shouldn't come as a big surprise to anyone: Republicans are poor losers!

They didn't like some black man winning the White House. So they dreamt up this whole birther movement to show they are 'adults'. And they did try to rip down the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act before it did alot of good for the nation as a whole. Same with the Affordable Care Act. Oh, and when President Obama had SEAL Team 6 take down Osama bin Laden, how many Republicans did we hear say (and/or paraphrase) "Good Job, Mr President!". Nope, couldn't even do that. Just like having no integrity is a good thing with Republicans, so is not being a good winner/loser with elections and bills.

Not every bigot is smart enough or even cares if their victim is part caucasian.

Usually, traditionally and historically(even a few years ago(three years ago)),bigots will call anyone of mixed race, the n-word

Even part black....meant you were black and you were treated as such.

You're quite wrong there, I've praised the President multiple times on the way he kills terrorists, including bin Ladin. It's the only thing he does well, despite his Nobel Peace Prize.

Obama's Mama was black? Wow, that's a revelation, she sure looks white to me

Why does this thread even matter. The Republicans hold 242 seats, the Democratc hold 190. So the dems held onto 1 seat? Who cares ?.

In general, when the winner of a special keeps their nose clean... they sail through the election and it's actually BETTER that it's a shorter period of time.

Walkers recall win was far from grim. Obama never entered the state while this was going on. He did make a tweet saying that he supported Barrett.

You`re getting confused....no one said Walker`s win was grim.

"Grim" came from the thread claiming Scottie`s win meant a "new grim reality" for President Obama.

Namely, that now all of a sudden and not before that moment,it was possible for Romney to win.As if before Walker`s win.....there wasn`t a chance that Mittens could also win.

Now I`m claiming........that Barber`s win has Mitt......."facing a grim new reality"

From the link:

"One of the wounded was Ron Barber, an aide to the congresswoman who will now serve the remainder of her term.

Republicans, sensing a chance to capture the seat, sought to make the special election a referendum on President Barack Obama and his handling of the economy."

Pretty much sums it up......

Just read that the con who lost and promised to run again, now has cold feet.......also heard the gop is "scrambling"....

It`s grim I tell ya!
