The term is libel and since one part of the tripartite description (mentioned in another notestream but I won't cite it here because some think that's "rude") is "identification" the fact that the comments are about a screen name would not be so much a defense as an invalidation of the suit itself.

I'm of the belief that instead of placing so much effort on ousting those we deem to be trolls, players, fakes, liars etc. etc..whatever we are calling them today, we instead work on improving our own detection. 

My thoughts that asking questions that require soul searching answers is the first step in detection.  Those who breeze in and out really don't want to have to put much effort into finding what they want and quickly move on to easier pickings.

Smells like high school.

I don’t even agree with neighborhood sexual predator lists.
So I’m obviously not about to join in some cyber gossipy blacklisting idea.

I'm ok with judging people based on my experience with them and trusting my instincts. It's the same thing I do with everyone else in my life, so I figure it'll probably work here in BDSM world as well.

Since such blacklists are not (and never will be) allowed here, it's also a pointless discussion and will now come to a peaceful end.
