ORIGINAL: DarkSteven I'm looking at the upcoming Presidential election as a referendum on Obama. I doubt that anyone likes Romney at all, and don't think that many people dislike him substantially. So there are those that like Obama and those that dislike him. I'm under the impression that people's minds are made up. If that's so, then there will be a huge media blitz to try to convince the razor thin Independents and swing voters to change their votes. I'm not sure anyone's persuadable at this point. How about you? If you favor Obama, what would it take for you to vote against him? If you're anti-Obama, what would it take for you to vote for him? When I (as a Republican) found out that Gore won (51.5 million votes to 50.5 million or so for Bush), but (Gore) didn't become our Prez.....I stopped voting. Forever. Nationally and locally. I realized that night, agreeing to whoever won the popular vote and more than happy with the (true) outcome (my team lost....Gore would "now" be Prez....as it should have been)....I haven't voted since. Gore would have done a fine job (sure as fuck couldn't have done worse than Junior). To this day I don't see the point in voting. Anyone that has a reasonable argument as to why I should resume....I'd sure as hell love to hear it.
