First off let me just state right away I am pissy I am tired my back hurts from four hours on basically what amounts to fucking lawn chairs. I'm in a very negative who pissed in your milk mood.


ok that was a typical waste of time. they had a 4 hour orentation for shit that could of been explained in a packet about school. the stuff you HAD to know took like 1o mins or less to talk about. the only thing that was vital to hear was stuff about credits, and when you were expected to be seen again next, and of course that the keys class was mandatory and the times. The rest was just the instructor pep talking essentially. And I still have no fucking clue about what I need to do to get into independant studies how long would it take assuming I work hard, or how many credits behind I am or what classes I need to prepair for. he said talk to me again on monday.

yes. Adult ed had a mandatory orentation, in it you're supposed to find out about keys class that's mandatory what's expected blah blah blah and they took 4 hours to explain something 10 minutes and a packet would do.

I considered returning to school. But it is rather a hastle. -one can get a bigger bang self taught online.

We did ring around the rosey at the communty college- I have a grant, no cash, but I am to use my "credit card"......

FelinePersuasion  get up way too friggin early have messed up schedule, come sit with me in an aluminum geen house without AC under the sun on black top for four hours, in a shitty seat that makes you bend 3 times over, get shaked and bounced for 2 hours after eating mexican the day before.  Repeat three times a week.

I'm just pissy and I'm just tired. Iget overwhealmed very easily and this day's one of them lol.

At least I got there with plenty of time to spare hehe. I insisted we leave early, and I was right to.

Lemme see... something to the effect of  ''hurry up and wait''... and done in that specified order!  [:-]

It could have been much worse... your tires could have went flat... your motor oil could be on the ground under the car (instead of in the engine)... the trogolodites at Wendy's drive-thru could have put onions on your burger anyway... or broken your chili crackers unlike the way you prefer them broken... parking and/or speeding tickets to add to the fire... but best of all, you didn't sit there for 3 hours and 50 minutes and have someone step up to say the orientation has been rescheduled, see you next week. 

Just fill up the bathtub with jello and jump in... or just take a nice knap and recharge your batteries, and have some jello when you wake up!

Orientation is more to orient yourself- see the surroundings, give people a reason to at least show up as a group once to see the site, see who else might be around and get a sense of belonging and a kick-off to connect with the students.

haha nasty daddy lastw eek we did get a flat we got two infact, only one waited to go flat the next day when mom was in the car not dad and dad had to be called to the parking lot to change a filthy tire and rescue us hehehe.

ahhhh I went through similer recently

went for a job interview for a sales job.

first I have to wait for a half hour past my apointment

then he asks me to stay for a 90 minute group interview

Most is stupid garbage trying to sell me the job

Then it gets to the end before he says it takes so long and people are made to wait on purose to see how we react to it

Then he informs us to start we need 140 bucks for a deposit on a sales kit

Yeah, thanks for wasting my time buddy

Oh thats right! You get another shot at finishing your high school education so you can get that volunteer job you were complaining about not being able to get a few weeks go.

Honestly, FP, be grateful, honey. Yeah, your back hurts but not all of life is cherries and gumdrops ... At least you have this opportunity for growth. Not everyone is so blessed.

yeah darq I just feel like shit today and I did say I was pissy. I can't win today lol I felt like shit and I was hungry I ate and I still felt like shit, only now I feel like shit and my tummy feels like it has a giant steel lead in it lol.

The reciving home is actually not gonna get any of my time most likely cause there's about 5 other people who'll take me now based on my apropriateness to work there. I won't have time for the reciving home any more, and I have decided it's a first come first serve, if fairy tale town and shriners and all those other places will take me right now regardless, well sorry recieving home your lose I'm not gonna wait around for them to decide I can finally volunteer there.



wolf least it wasn't 400 cut co cutlery wants 400 dollars up front to buy the  lil chicken shit 5 piece kit containing a butcher knife a paring knife a table knife a over sized over priced ladle and a turning fork you'll be showing people.    Hell their whole inventory stock is over priced 30 bucks for a tiny pareing knife 110 bucks for a skillet yada yada.

I kinda had to laugh reading  your post. Yup,  the orientation could probably have been less time, BUT... I have never had a job or class that didn't have a long and often redundant orientation. Such is life. In the long run, it will be worth it for you. Not to "piss in your milk", but there are many more orientations to come. Even if you become a volunteer.... there is an orientation, and it will probably be the same scenario.
I am a nurse, every single job I have had has included as part of the orientation Infection Control, Blood Born Pathogens and patient abuse/confidentiality.After 29 years I could give the class myself. It's never anything new. But it is all part of the game, so I just follow along and grin and bear it.
I'm glad to see you are taking this step. You won't regret it and you deserve a big congrats for doing it. Be proud of yourself.

The speaker was a nice guy and was funny it could be worse lol he could sound like ben stine.:P imagain how boring it'd be to listen to him lecture on and on in that monotone:P

I am glad I could piss and moan today, I'm just not used to this kind of stuff any more I've gotten soft. I'm not used to normal hours hehe I get up at 10:30 I've gotten soft.
