Can America survive having someone so out of touch with reality in any position of power?

Off topic: how did he get such a cutesy name as "Mittens"?
We name kittens Mittens.

He got it to take attention away from his foreign birth and illegal birth certificate.

I may dislike Mr. Romeny, but calling him 'Mittens' is childish at best, and insulting at worst. Yes, he represents everything wrong with America. Yes, he panders and flip flops more often than a screen door in a hurricane. BUT, there should be some respect going on. I dont like it when people bash President Obama's name; so it would make sense, I'd dislike it when his opponent is being bashed for the samething.

That said...

I find it a bit curious that he found the whole process amazing. Its been around in most modern facilities for years now. Maybe the crowd Mr. Romney spoke to hasnt heard of the personal computer? Facebook? IPad? ISS? Diablo 3? etc.....etc....etc....

I was amazed to read that Snopes had determined that the Bush scanner story was false.

I find it amazing that MSNBC edited the video to make it appear that Romney was amazed by scanner technology when in fact if you watch the whole video, it shows that Romney was actually amazed at how much more efficient the private sector was, in comparison to the public sector... But the truth isn't a factor when it comes to MSNBC's reporting.

A little fact that Andrea Mitchell failed to point out, and your host Fargle, and joe swallowed hook, line & sinker... No wonder Democrats retain their government positions.

In fairness to Romney, I've only eaten at Wawa once (under duress), and I was flummoxed by the ordering system. Give me a menu any day!

NBC obviously just moved the "fired" anonymous producer who edited the Zimmerman tape over to MSNBC...

You gotta be kidding me? That's all you got?

You're upset because a guy who is worth 200 million bucks doesn't know that touch screen ordering systems are (becoming....not "are") a way of life?

Okay...let's run through the facts here.....

It costs (today) 500 - 900 MILLION dollars to become Prez today.

Now let's just think for a second....hmmmm...."who is more likely to be able to get 900 million dollars to run for Prez? A guy worth 87 bucks....or a guy worth 200 million?"

Now...let's just go one step further....a guy who's worth 200 million bucks....is he likely to go to Wawa or Sheetz and order a big gulp and 2 slips of pizza (on a touch screen)....or is he more likely to go to Mortons and order a Chateau Briand (sp?) and wait for it to be delivered piping hot to his white table clothed pleasure?

You want a guy who eschews wealth? You want a guy who lives like the common man?

You should have voted for Ron Paul instead of bitching about the choices that (now) remain. And if you did....you should have worked a HELL of a lot harder to see him become the nominee.

Did you put posters in your yard for Ron Paul? How about for that libertarian guy who got.....lemme count 'em up....uhhhhh....hold on....I remember now....exactly....ZERO votes!

And the other guy....the independent....what was his name (who the fuck cares, he never stood a chance because....PEOPLE LIKE YOU WOULD RATHER BITCH THAN VOTE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!).

You get what you pay for....and guess what?

These are the 2 you paid for.

Buck up Chuck....it's gonna be a rough ride.

(And it's gonna be the same shit over and over again until you and a katrillion others say "ya know what? I don't give a shit if he 'can't be elected'....he's the guy I want....and I'm gonna vote for him because he's the best {person} for the job....period).

That's the way it works Chuck.

At a campaign stop in Pennsylvania on Sunday, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee told a crowd that he had been astonished by a touch screen computer used to order food at the Wawa gas station chain.

"Mittens" is a nickname from even before he entered politics from what I can tell. If that is true, it is a lot different than the hatch job some people do to Obama's name.

Another "bonding" moment for Mitt and the average Joe......

I recall Bush Sr. getting into trouble when he didn`t know what a gal. of milk cost.Something the average Joe knows 1st hand.

Then we find out the Bush Sr. doesn`t carry money or even a wallet, doesn`t pay for meals,etc.....that his PAs do all that stuff for him.....

Kinda killed the man of the people act most cons have to fake to pull off.

And talk about suckers......."08" killed any notion that the "private sector" is any better than the public....

But if Mittens wants to continue to pretend those myths are true.....who are we to stop the clown act or the world class suckers who buy it?
