Hello. Does anybody know if it is possible to upload photos to collarme with an iPhone? I don't always have immediate access to a desktop and the phone is much more convenient.

Thanks

yes, any phone. for one-offs, i just email myself with the photo, and log into email on the same PC where i'm logged into CM.

there's all sorts of neato ways to transfer files, like bluetooth. sorry i don't have an iphone, dunno what other easy things it might have to upload a photo.

When you say email it to yourself do you mean on collarme? Is that possible? I'm very technically challenged.

no, sorry, i mean email the photo from your phone to your yahoo or other internet email. then log into internet email, save it from email to your hard drive. then from CM, you can navigate to the file on your hard drive.

email is a good way to access files, sorta like cloud computing on a small scale, where you use your internet email to transfer and store files.

Unfortunately that's the problem with collarme. When i access the site from the phone,I cannot search the hard drive for my photos to upload. You can only do that on a desktop. I don't know why collarme doesn't have an option to upload pics directly from a phone. I don't even use my desktop much anymore now that I have my smart phone.

oh, ic what you mean now. you're trying to do it all on your phone. i haven't tried that yet. seems like you should be able to touch-click the Browse button and navigate to the pic location. good luck.

It is possible, but not entirely straightforward. Safari in iOS does not have access to the file system and does not directly allow for file uploads. See this previous thread for some related information.

iCab Mobile does allow for images to be uploaded, and that feature does currently work with the full CM site. It's possible other third-party browsers offer similar features, but I haven't personally tested any.

A look at the source code of the mobile version of CM indicates that the "Update Profile Photos" page there was designed to work with cliqcliq's Quickpic to enable image uploads from iOS, but the feature seems to be misconfigured at the moment. If it's something you care about, you could try writing to support about it.
