Hi, I've been hanging around the boards for a good while now but never really had the balls to post! Everyone seems so experienced it's a bit daunting! However, with all my lurking I feel like I've learnt enough to hold my own now and it's about time I get a bit more involved :P A little bit about me, Im 23, from Ireland, a little shy but outgoing as well if that makes any sense! I'm interested in psychology and sociology, think this lifestyle is fascinating! I have some experience in BDSM, enough to know that it's definitely more to me than kinky sex or a 'phase'! Im hoping to make some friends here, would love to hear more about people's experiences, particularly those in or who have had 24/7 relationships because I'm hoping someday I might find myself in that position! Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! Anaxagoras i know what you mean, I've heard a few people say that the reality isn't as fun as the fantasy! I think one example I heard was are you willing to not be able to listen to your favourite music album because he doesn't like it because potentially that could be the case! I suppose when I say 24/7 as much as I like the kinky side of things I also like the idea of being in a relationship where he has the final say. We might discuss things and I'll give my point of view but in the end it's him who makes the call. I'd love to have that trust and in some ways safety if that makes sense...

Sounds like you seek a softer sort of 24/7 which might be more akin to how it is for some non-D/s couples where one partner tends to lead the other. Indeed, trust is a major issue as well, and having that level of trust to defer to another is a special thing. I just mentioned it as more traditional D/s 24/7 seemed to me to be a difficult thing for people to sustain.

Hmmm i dunno I do like the kink though but I just don't want it to be only about that. I also think it's just not realistic to expect that every night there's going to be whips and chains, but they do excite me :P sorry that was a very corny pop song reference :P I want to submit in every way but I'm not planning on crawling around naked on my hands and knees all day! I want to further my career, better myself as a person and all that and I want somebody who will guide me towards that and not hinder me. So i guess that's a medium protocol house?
