I found this article a thought provoking assessment of the work of Elinor Ostrom, the American economist and Nobel laureate who died recently. Ostrom was the only woman to date to win the Nobel Prize for Economics, one indication of how that field is so male dominated. It's not called the dismal science for nothing.
