Not sure if it's been done already (likely it has, but it never hurts to consider): I'm thinking of messaging the mods asking if threads could be locked after a set period of time automatically. Some topics will always rotate around again, and maybe links to previous discussions can help with perspective; after a while, though, there isn't much point in making a new post on an old thread. What I'm wondering is the amount of time that would be reasonable - one month? Three? This would be since the last post was made, so something that remains current is unaffected. I'm not sure what time frame to reference, but there ought to be a reasonable figure. Since it would affect everyone, no reason not to ask everyone what they think. This seems the most appropriate place to do so. Do you feel it's a reasonable request, and if so, what time frame would you recommend?
