Zimmerman was a resident of the Twin Lakes retreat. Martin wasn't. He was just visiting.

Trayvon Martin Father was a resident there...

So in other words, Trayvon didn't live there. He was just visiting.

Thanks for clearing that up.

K.

What I am saying is Martin had a legitment right to be there. Or are you implying Martin did not have rights?[;)]

Actually what I think he was implying was that o59 was wrong when he claimed "He didn`t even live there and killed a resident "

Not sure why you felt the need to jump into it.

As to the OP.....It's nice to see some justice handed out. I guess SYG isn't the free pass that some claim it is.

I wandered off from the Zimmerman thread so I haven't seen everybody's take but what I have seen aren't claims of a free pass so much as people who's opinions have been informed by the Times study claiming that syg makes convictions a roll of the dice where the outcome can have little to do with the facts of the case.

I've also seen people who's opinions have been informed by the Texas A&M study claiming that syg causes an escalation of violence to the tune of hundreds of extra homicides per year.
