Today is the date Doc Brown had set on the DeLorean before its initial test in the Twin Pines Mall parking lot. Welcome to the future.

Delilya -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/27/2012 7:50:51 PM)

Woohoo, I made it.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/27/2012 8:06:22 PM)

Me too! <offers special brownies to Delilya)

TNDommeK -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/27/2012 8:23:09 PM)

I'm a nerd because that is freakin cool.

Where we're going, we won't need roads.

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/27/2012 8:37:42 PM)

not quite

If somebody tells you it's the day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown time traveled to in "Back to the Future Part II," better check the tape. Or, here in the future, the DVD.

Some Internet users were fooled Wednesday by an image that claimed to show June 27, 2012, as the futuristic date the characters played by Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd were whisked to in their souped-up, flux capacitor-powered Delorean time machine. Not so.

In Robert Zemeckis' 1989 sequel, the characters are transported 30 years into the future, from Oct. 26, 1985 to Oct. 21, 2015. Sorry, "BTTF" fans, but the magic date is still more than three years away.

Well, no one said there would be brownies! And special ones at that!

The only reason I Googled it is I have a cousin who is an absolute freak about that movie, and I couldn't believe the day had come and gone without her Facebooking out the ass about it!

kitkat105 -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/28/2012 6:27:10 AM)

That is fairly awesome either way. I <3 those movies. I think I could watch them a million times and it still wouldn't get old.

MasterG2kTR -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/28/2012 6:31:09 AM)

Cool....so it will only be three years and a couple months until Marty McFly shows up....[8|]

Oh yum, brownies for breakfast. Shall I turn up the music?

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/28/2012 7:17:13 AM)

And turn on the strobe lights!

Rule -> RE: Welcome To The Future (6/28/2012 9:39:23 AM)

So that is why the three movies were broadcasted again here during the past three weeks.
