Had you the balls to debate issues in a civil manner, one of those "conservative voices" just gave you a nice kick where your nut sack would be.

Still looking for those links to those conservative voices.

Oh yeah. You can't--they're locked behind those steps.

Really, Muse? The nicest thing I've ever said about the Patriot Act is to be grateful it keeps coming with a sunset clause.

Were they fit to be tied over the Patriot Act or the fact that it has a sunshine clause?

I'd love to hear some names. I cant find any politicians named "Several" or "A Lot"

What issues are to be debated?  You havent brought a single one to the fore, ever.

We owe no civil discourse to liars, rushfelchers, and morons.

Is this your example of civil?

Still no links. Not a CM post, and not a published conservative voice.

Nothing but childish insults.

Ya got nothing. Again.

It is not a tax. Obama has said many times that it is not a tax..

Well, the Supreme Court says it's illegal, if it isn't a tax, so the Dems and Obamabots will be needing to get on board with every word in the emails from the "Truth Team," in a big hurry.

Do you just open your mouth to change feet?
Go back and read what the court said.
One of the five justices said it was a tax the other four consenting justices relied on the commerce clause of the 14th ammendment.

Those are pretty weak "praises." Just under half of them are agreeing with the Act as long as it's applied cautiously. Just under the other half of them are actually concerned about their gun rights . The rest are also supportive as long as we're careful to use it only for terrorism.

If you think those lines can be tread so judiciously, you've far more faith in government than I.

If you took every penny of the lobbyists expenses, the bribes, CEO and all upper management pay out of the equation...your medical premiums would fall by about 3 cents a month.

That ain't where the money is.

That's an extremely specific number, would you be so kind as to show us where you got it.

I'm guessing Steel...it was conjecture but I can assure you as a nearly 40 year business person (as in...having been in business nearly 40 years) it's probably fairly close. It wouldn't be all that difficult to validate. Look up what the insurance industry spends their funds on.

I'd bet all of the above mentioned items are far less than 1/4 of 1% of the total cost of insuring a person.

FACT: 30% yes 30 cents of every health insurance dollar goes to attempts not to pay...anything.

I can go with that.

Speaking of Rush Limbaugh...

quote:

Imagine How the Left Will Use This Dictatorial-Type Power

RUSH: The Democrats asked for a mandate that would allow them to tell us what we have to buy or don't buy -- and penalize us, tax us, whatever. Forget the penalty. Forget the tax. Think about just that.

He's just pissed that the Republican's 6 year attempt to turn the U.S. into a permanent one-party majority system got dramatically tossed by the voters in 2006.

His problem isn't the dictatorial power--only who gets to have it.

Well, MM, I know you're smart enough to know that both parties have been attempting the same thing, and for a (very long) time...both parties have done exactly that.

I wish more people would vote their conscience...for the person that they truly felt was "the guy" instead of who they thought could win.

My choice, years ago would have been Perot. I voted for him even as every pollster said "he can't win".

I didn't care.

My Mom accused me of "wasting" my vote.

I explained to her that my vote was valuable, sacred and worth something. Hence why I voted for the person I felt best capable of solving our (then) problems.

I actually (I'm sure naively) believe that Perot could have won. Had he won, he would probably have knocked the shit out of people who believed (lobbyists, among others) that there was only one way....theirs. I still think he could have won if more people believed that their vote was valuable and meaningful.

Maybe he would have merged somewhat with those who control the game, and maybe he would have become Borg just like every other Prez since the 1900's....but....I still think we should vote for those we believe in....not who "can win".

I'm probably an idealist...but that's what I think.

Are the cons saying that all fifty states are dictatorships cuz they require car insurance for drivers?

This is just stupid.......

The requirement that you buy auto insurance is such that when you hurt someone else, they don't have to pay for your poor choices. Flat line logical.

ObamaCare says that you have to buy insurance such that everyone pays for your poor choices.

Pst.. everyone does pay for poor choices. Who pays when you didnt have insurance, all I have is liability, and the insurance company doesnt pay?

Yeah, try hitting another car when you dont have auto insurance and the other guy does and see what happens. More so when the grand majority of it is your fault. That company sues you for damages. For the other guy's car, his medical bills, work bills (guy was recovering and not able to work), and any sort of bills on top of that. And we havent gotten to the point that you still have to fix your car and your injuries. How much will it cost you to get out of the hospital with all those injuries from the crash? Think its still a good and wise idea to not have auto insurance? The roadway can be pretty hazardous to one's health if you think about it.

Actually, the ACA doesnt state you have to buy insurance at all (or that your forced to). It does state (if you had taken the time to actually READ THE BILL) that if you do not have health insurance in 2014, you'll be charged for it. In 2014, that is $285 or 1% of your gross income (which ever is greater). In 2016 and beyond, that number rises to $2,085 or 2.5% of your gross income (again, which ever is higher). But look on the bright side, if the Mayan's are correct, you wont have to spend a penny! If they are wrong, well...

....You'll just have to cough up the dough like an adult. Your are an adult (physically, mentally, emotionally), right? And if your not, the ACA can help you there too with Mental Insurance costs.

Joether, I think we've all gotten the whole $285.00 v. $2,085.00 point from your previous posts....excellent points I might add, now actually redundant (having been made already....by you...a few more than several times). I think everyone's also more than clear that you'd like me to "READ THE BILL".

Perhaps you missed the part where I said "I don't give a shit".

Possibly a different approach may be more productive, but more specifically....one you haven't made already....

Redundantly.

Nope......

Car insurance is in place so when someone hurts YOU......you`re not shit out of luck.

This is why when shit-4-brains says he doesn`t need car insurance cuz he won`t cause an accident.....the judge and everyone down the line says bullshit, you loser.

Answer the question......

Are states "dictatorships" b/c they require drivers buy insurance.....?

Now on one hand, we have folks using services and getting medical services for free and on the other hand.....we have cons who want the tax payer.........rather than the end user, to pay for those medical services.....

Why the flip flop?

Is Obama derangement syndrome driving cons into yet more irrational contradictions and more flipity flopitiness?

And most if not all the whiner-cry-baby-critics have health insurance ,aren`t affected by the law, aren`t sincere and aren`t concerned about those without health care in the first place.......

When you say "I don't give a shit" believe us......we get it.

The President says he wants to run on the ACA law and I can`t wait........

What`s Mitts position on ACA?
