ORIGINAL: TheHeretic That's true, Vince, but our ability to detect such planets is still very much in its infancy. The theory may be dead on, in terms of intelligent life that we might somehow find, but that really wasn't my question, anyway. There's no need to swap apple pie recipes with them. It's just difficult to look up into a night sky not polluted by artificial light, and think that all that, is just for us to look at. As you said, we are in the infancy stages of learning about other galaxies, solar systems, etc. Humans are very impatient, they need proof and they need it NOW, or it does not exist or can't be a possibility. Rich, can we have these type of discussions any more? It seems like we can't discuss the possibility of life on another planet without PROOF. Everything must be "proven", or many would have you believe that you can't have a thought, opinion, or belief without "PROOF". New discoveries are being made on a very frequent basis, and it is very exciting to say the least. The Daily Galaxy
