A couple of months ago I was contacted by someone from a vanilla site. While having coffee he said my photo looked familiar and did I belong to any others. Since here or Fet were the only other places he could have seen me, I asked if he belonged to any kink sites and he readily fessed up to collarme. As it turned out we weren't right for each other, but we did get a big laugh out of us both belonging to the same two sites.

That OP is way different than what you are purposing. Leave it be and move on to the next one.

A friends only option eh? Interesting, let me think about that for......a millisecond. What about every other option? Of course there are people here not looking for dates but the majority are. Infact quite a few of the friends only profiles will say that they are not looking as they found their partner here, how fucking lucky was that given that CM isn't a dating site?

Look at the numbers on either side.

I am pretty sure I have seen you post about how many people join this site every week in response to a "can't find a Dom/Domme/sub" whine so don't be daft, you know as well as everyone that CM is primarily a dating site. Just 'cos you don't need it to be that doesn't mean it isn't does it?

If you put a vase on top of your TV it's still a TV, it may have an extra function but it's main job is being a TV and that's how 99% of people will see it (weird analogy, lol)

I haven't met my other half here, I actually met him on a geek site, does that mean the geek site stopped being related to programming and is now a dating site? After all I met a guy there and became seriously involved with him...

A lot of people meet their spouses in pubs or bars or even at work, so does that mean that once I am involved with somebody, I can't go to pubs anymore, or heaven forbid work?

Because a lot of people want this to be a dating site doesn't make it one. Seriously, I stare at my Volvo quite often and want it to be a nice classic 911, unfortunately the Volvo doesn't magically change. Both are cars though... Just like on any site or place where there is a community, people are bound to meet and hook up, it doesn't turn my local pub into a singles bar!

I have to admit that when I see too many hairy arses and genitalia I sometimes mistake this for a hump, dump or pump site.

I have to agree with LP, I don't think the other side is a dating site. I'm not looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend or a date. I'm looking for slaves, period. Now I will admit, that there are plenty of people who do look at it as a dating site, and that's cool. That is there interpretation of it. Right on.

I will say the other side is definitely like a meat market, I think we can all agree on that, lol.
