I've never done the roll call before, mainly b/c my life is so danged exciting I know most of you can't keep up !!
Let's see, my garden on the porch is thriving, despite the high temperatures we've been having. I don't have a large yard here, and the only place with hours of full sun is the front porch, so there you have it. I am growing herbs (basil, rosemary, chives, thyme), The cilantro turned to seed early on, I assume from the heat.
I have two pepper plants in pots, a jalapeno and banana plant. The banana plant is home to a tiny praying mantis !! He is soooo cute.
My asparagus ferns and spider plants have doubled or tripled in size. I will have to give at least one of the ferns away, I just don't have the room.
Part of the porch garden is a long row of amaryllis plants I am trying to bring back. I got these from Himself's mother (she is an expert gardener in Juneau, AK) a few Xmas's back. They bloomed for several years in the winter, then stopped. Now I am feeding the bulbs in the hopes they will bloom again. For annuals I have some white petunias an a red geranium (I love live blooming flowers).
My sub (lamb) and I had plans to meet up at the end of June. He planned to take off work and visit for a couple days, but instead of a trip to see his Mistress, he got a major medical procedure ! The good news is they let him go home the next say and everything seemed normal. The bad news is they don't know what is causing his chest pains.[&o]
Himself and I are doing wonderfully well, we make a great team and it just keeps getting better and better. Now, if I could just stop making him eat brown rice, he'd be much happier (he hates the texture.) I think a directive along those lines is coming soon . . .
Cat are well. Still going through major dominance issues, but what else is new?
I'm going to try and upload a pic of the praying mantis.
