I didn't want to hijack any of the entertaining introduction threads, so I decided to do my own, since I don't remember ever introducing myself, I'm rude that way I suppose.

I originally joined back in 2006, met someone from here, asked a lot of questions and took myself way the fuck too seriously. My life has taken quite a circular route and I had rejoined here since I missed the comraderie.

Now that I have returned "home", I am looking to get involved with the local 'scene' but I still enjoy some of the people that I have met here over the last couple of years that I have actively visited the forums.

See, though my grammatical use may not have been correct, at least I spelled my words properly, communicated clearly, used no textspeak. Also, I didn't start off listing some simplistic fucking stupid demand or simplistic vision of what I was "seeking", all I did was introduce my self (hence why this section is called "Introduce Yourself"). I didn't call myself a "true" anything, fuck if you ask my last "used-to-be-a-sub-before-I-decided-all-bdsm-relationships-are-abusive" I'm not even dominant...

So, there you have it, a belated, not completely sarcastic introduction. I think this is where I am supposed to add that I take tributes or gifts or... wait, I'm not a "fake domme", I'ld settle for a good cup of coffee, or maybe some of those cookies I heard about.

Laughing, the only thing in my profile, is the same quotation in my signature line. Yep, pretty thin profile... frowning, to think I won't ever get what I want now.

See, not that hard to write an intro and not come across like a complete asshat. That was all my point was... oh wait, perhaps it should be "Wait, it was me being funny, sarcasm, nobody gets my humor" and then remove my profile... or find a sock puppet. ETA The entire point of this "introduction" was to prove that you don't have to come across as a complete asshole to write an introduction, most of the people on this side don't give a shit about your looking endeavors. If you want to learn, chat, share... okay, but if you act stupid, you'll find the subs will bitch slap your ego faster than any of the dominants will.

(Hint. The only problem with allowing people to see that they don't have to be an asshat in their introductions is that most of them won't read yours until they have written theirs.)

So, I just participated...

Anyway. my main point was that introductions aren't intended as "personal ads" but rather as an introduction. Saying "Hi, My name is ____________, and I'm an alcoholic." Oh shit, wrong forum but you get the idea. Tell people who you are, come communicate, get to know people, fuckin' chat.

It seems that a lot has changed and a lot has stayed the same over the years but I don't recall so much personal ad bullshit before. Then again, I'm probably just old, grumpy and senile..."Hey you kids, get the fuck off the lawn!"
