Lots of people are selecting 'memory' and generally just not paying attention. EVERY geographic area is seeing average temps rise. No one predicted ALL THE TIME warmer, in fact most simulations predict more variability (Hotter, colder, wetter, drier locally or for a season.) to go with the general warming trends. (Atlantic Conveyer disappearance may change that, freezing N. Europe if the Gulf Stream fails.) Both pole areas are seeing historically unprecedented melting, most glaciers world wide are retreating at astounding rates, last year was the second hottest on record?, plant behavior and animal migrations are showing shorter milder winters world wide and so on. Anecdotal restricted area single season observations have no relevance! Weather/climate is a 'noisy' system. If statistical measurement and modern meteorological concepts are unfamiliar, READ UP, it isn't brain surgery and the information is widely available. Reasonable(?) people can argue why things are getting warmer with Some credibility. (Planetary history unprecedented atmospheric carbon increase rate since industrialization does fine for me.) To deny the warming trends is ignorant.
