I thought the quickest way to a man's heart was through the ribcage???  [:D] OK, just kidding, relax men...I didn't mean it.  LOL  [;)]

My mom told me never to fall for a man that hated his own mother.... she said I would have to take the fall for all the bad crap she had ever done to him

Very good advice.  I would never choose a man who was hateful to his own mother, unless there were extenuating circumstances.  On the other hand, I would never choose a man who kow-towed to his mother to the exclusion of all else, either.

My Mom's best advice was to find a man that you love just being around and not because of specific things he does and never pick a man thinking he will change for the better.

As far as her advice on getting and keeping a man happy... "Keep his balls drained". Love my Mom!

Your mother is a smart Lady. My mother always told me to be weary of a girls who hate their fathers. Rings true.

On a better note... I like to eat... so a woman who is a great cook is damn good thing.

works for me

Works for me, too. I don't think it's gender specific. Of course it works much better when my submissive is wearing only an apron while he cooks...

Of course Dad is wonderful.
But when taking Moms advice on getting a man, take a real critical look at Dad, in a different ( maybe icky ) light. Then judge the value of her advice.
Just joking ( mostly )

My grandmother always joked... 'Marry a mechanic and have an affair with a plumber, it will save you a fortune'.

Maybe she understood my cuckold desires before I did.

My mother is on husband #6. I don't think she'd be the person I went to for relationship advice. ::chuckles::

My personal philosophy.. I worship the ground he walks on.. and he walks in circles around my pedestal and that works for us. In other words.. we just adore one another...

oh.. and I do cook. [;)]

She forgot the ego...you can feed the hunger and libido all you want, but if you forget the ego, you're fucked [:-]

My mom told me never to get married. After I was married her advise was "You've made your bed, now lay in it, no matter what."

BlkTallFullfig -> RE: Mother's advice on getting a man--lol (6/12/2006 11:53:34 PM)

My mom wasn't always in the kitchen and she certainly never indicated I needed to be all the time.  She did indicate I should obey and respect first and foremost the ones born with a penis, and not put out until married, lol.  In my life, I've unfortunately come to notice that my mom's approval of a guy has little to do with him being a fit counterpart for a relationship with me.

I miss my dad for that reason, as he never treated my mom like that, nor did he encourage his daughters to be with/marry just any man (loosely defined as being born with a penis).   M

Right on!  I've seen mothers whom healthy offsprings ought to hate, so there are times when it is justified.
I have also met boys (cancerians of the zodiac, lol) who loved/obeyed their mothers a little too much.   So there is a line to be observed and dealt with.  M

WHOA!  That's so strange you said the zodiac cancer part...my very first bf was a cancer and he actually broke up with me because his mommy told him to.  Poor dumb bastard didn't have a chance huh? lol

I'll have to look it up some time and see if there's anything printed that says this is a common trait for cancers, but I think you're really onto something [:-]

slavejali -> RE: Mother's advice on getting a man--lol (6/13/2006 12:43:42 AM)

Cancerian men are usually very attached to their mothers [:)]

Yes they are, but isn't there an age when bottle feeding, and patting his lips clean with a spit-on napkin become inappropriate?

Would you prefer the bottle or the breast little boy? [sm=biggrin.gif]   [sm=biggrin.gif]  I know all you need is one of those and a long spanking and you'll behave like the good lil boy you can be. [8D]  M
