Thanks to the warm spring, I've been swimming in the lake at Mom's since Memorial Day. I'm working up to swimming across and back, which takes an hour. Right now I'm up to 40 minutes and have freckles galore on my fair Irish skin.

You know what they say a girl without freckles is

We had a fireworks ban because it's been
dry here but some of my neighbors shot
some anyway. And early this morning we
got a little rain.
