I stay away from the "Worst Dom" thread because I know I'll get caught up in the toxicity. Here's a positive alternative. What do you consider the best qualities in a person you consider a dominant figure? If you want to share why you feel those qualities are the best, bonus. It certainly goes a long way towards creating conversation.

Down to earth and lacking arrogance. Be able to manage his own affairs and allow me the freedom to manage mine. Doesn't smother me nor expect me to smother him. Have good sense and not have irrational expectations of me, or the relationship. Doesn't expect me to chase him but be aware of when I am slowing down so he can catch me. Be able to carry on an intelligent conversation. Be good at what he says he is good at and not claim to be good at things he has no clue about. Be reasonably honest.

A dominant personality...not just during a role but always, with everything. Honesty Integrity Intelligent Knows how to lead Controls his own life, such as his finances, his fitness, his health, his attitude, etc... Down to earth Hard to anger Spiritual Successful and I don't mean monetarily or career Caring Firm Knows how to love and shows it willingly I'm sure I can think of a ton of other qualities but that's just the ones off the top of my head that are qualities I need in a man.

I've been lucky. The three men that I've been in committed D/s relationships are all really great guys. It's really hard to say everything. Intelligence A twisted sense of humor They don't take themselves too seriously Trustworthy Straight forward caring attentive Can hold a conversation common sense Good in bed Love animals believe in giving and giving back mentally strong naturally an alpha There's so much more that I can't even list them all.

Just a short list off the top of my head of some of Master's best qualities: good sense of humor well read compassionate liberal-minded with views that match mine hard worker/good work ethic animal lover giving not afraid to serve me and others not arrogant or insecure music lover/into going to concerts into trying new things And that's just the tip of the iceberg [:)] luci

Humour. Im a strong and independent guy, but I also have men around me I respect and sometimes work for, humour is a great personality trait, Especially when engendering trust and loyalty. Also a fast wit is non-arrogant way of demonstrating intelligence. -ARIES

For me it's: honesty intelligence twisted sense of humour integrity consistency 'natural' leadership (by my own personal definition, natch) a sadist who embraces this as a positive part of his personality Anything else is a bonus!

Off the top of my head, some of my Master's best qualities are: Assertiveness. Good leadership skills (both with me and in general.) Compassion/caring Ambition. Dedication. Integrity. Inner strength. Positive attitude and outlook on life (optimistic.) Trustworthiness. Affectionate. Straight-forward. The list goes on, but those are a few.
