Clearly, you haven't looked very hard because LA/Orange County has tons of groups and events. The Orange County social is in Huntington Beach on the 4th Wednesday. The SoCal social is on the 11th. Dragon's Gate is in Yorba Linda. Etc, etc.

Type in Orange County on Fetlife, you'll get a zillion listings.
