You drop the letter "u", switch "s" for "z"

But THAT, that is too far lads

BitaTruble -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 12:43:02 PM)

A true Scotsman never wears underwear, a true gentlewear always wears it in the presence of a lady.

I'll leave it you guys to decide...

(Though do you have any idea how hot it gets under there with boxers?!?! Like a small furry oven)

I am confused now.... did you or did you not were underpants under it?

PS: i dont think that they would let me were them in puplic... [>:]

Ken, I want to say it's a McLeod sept, but I am probably wrong. Try this site: http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartan?gclid=CPv28qyukrECFcqe7QodHCEijg

I know what it is. Just curious if anyone else did. Despite being an old clan that once led one of the clan confederations we've fallen into semi obscurity.

Delilya -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 12:47:15 PM)

Very nice, thank you for sharing with us.

...I didn't, it gets too uncomfortable.

...and I quite enjoy the refreshing breeze ;)

BitaTruble: Thanks for the exceptionally kind words :) minor blushing is going on over here

My kilt is in that, I'll have to dig a picture out with me wearing it.

Formal wear with the jacket and all or slightly drunk with heavy boots and a metal t-shirt are the the options I think. Odd how sober doesnt seem to work with one....

Thaz -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 1:20:48 PM)

Cheers Brother

Mines a malt (Speyside for choice) or a decent pint (Hicks Special Draft or Doombar round here or Orkney Dark Island closer to your neck of the woods). I'll get the next round in ;-)

GreedyTop -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 1:23:14 PM)

ya'll are making me jealous...

Thaz -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 1:28:52 PM)

I've already invited you over once GT ;-)

They make Doombar in a shed, as do the folks at Skinners their brews but HSD is made in a hundreds years old brewery thats worth the tour :-)
I came away with a load of bottle tops from the 30's that had swastika's on for luck ......and to bring it back on thread....brewery tours/beer fests generally mean the kilt has to be worn. :-)

GreedyTop -> RE: Kilts Thread (7/11/2012 1:30:45 PM)

I know, Thaz... and as soon as I can afford it, I'll be there!!

KILTS.. always high fashion, IMO!!

was I right? a McLeod sept?

No.

It's the Shaw's tartan. An independent clan but closely related to, formerly chiefs of , the Mackintosh's.
