How would a slave go about leaving her Master?

leatherorlace -> RE: leaving a Master (6/8/2006 3:34:26 PM)

Despite what some deluded asses claim, you're free to leave any situation that you have accepted at anytime. Slavery is not protected by law, and those that would have you believe otherwise are bonkers.
  If you seek ownership and want too suspend your Constitutional Rights, and give your Master your complete submission, I can only tell you that it's much easier to change your mind, reclaim your freedom and begin life anew. Just announce your plans, but be sure that that is what you really want, pack your bags, call the SWAT Team for help in leaving (lol) and go your way. If you own the house or property, it's really up to you as to who leaves.
   There are instances of human slavery in the world and I'd be the last to say that there's no danger in stepping into a slave type relationship, but, I'm thinkin' that there are dangers available in more mundane sounding relationship, too.

In the same manner that one would leave their husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend.

DesertRat -> RE: leaving a Master (6/8/2006 5:09:46 PM)

There's gotta be at least 50 ways to do that. As was said above, the same as leaving any other SO.

Well, lets' see.....I believe I said...."This isn't working for me and I've decided to move on."

Kinkypupper -> RE: leaving a Master (6/8/2006 5:14:25 PM)

A Lot depends on the relationship the two of you have and your depth of commitment to them,
And why you are wishing to leave.
Also if they may or may not be the violent type or its a mutual release.

Without any further information I really hate to even suggest a course of action.

feastie -> RE: leaving a Master (6/8/2006 8:12:13 PM)

Depends.  Do you want to tell him off and split, or just split?  Or are you thinking you have to beg or something?

NJSubGirl -> RE: leaving a Master (6/8/2006 11:57:06 PM)

Hi secretstar.

Since you’ve not given us any details, I’ll have to answer in general terms. I’m going to assume that you’ve already dealt with the questions of ‘should I leave’ and ‘am I over-reacting’. As I see it, your question has three possible implications.

How do you Physically leave your Master?
Walk out the door. Or boot him out.

How do you Emotionally leave your Master?
D/s relationships can evoke extremely powerful and overwhelming emotions. Fortunately there are several discussions on this forum dealing with this very issue, and I would encourage you to read as many of them as you can. Just keep in mind that there’s no easy way – you’re going to go through some emotional turmoil whatever you do.

How do you Formally leave your Master?
Depending on the couple and their community there’s usually some formal ritual involved in releasing a slave. Circumstances vary (of course) but if the decision is mutual and amicable then the slave requests release, and offers back her collar. Once the collar is removed she’s free, and the relationship ends there.

Hope this helps
DQ

Wouldn't that make a great song?

MasterStoney442 -> RE: leaving a Master (6/9/2006 8:31:39 AM)

First off I must say this . This life style is not a Game that people play> when some thing does not go there way , one can not just say I am out of here . I see this in most of the advice that is given on here .

Now for this . I have collared my slave . She (my slave ) and I her Master sat down and agreed up on a contract that we both singed. That is binding . No not in ANY court So do not go there .
My slave knew when she became my slave that She is stuck with me till I die or I her Master releases her .
If it comes to the point that I her Master would release her she my slave would leave with nothing . I mean NOTHING .  Remember I did say THIS IS NOT A GAME .

But with all That has been said here , You we only know one side of the OP .

While I appreciate that this is the way thigns are structured in your dynamic, for the purposes of the OP's question, I have to disagree. There is -always- the option to leave, and that option doesn't come with forfit of property. (In my book, that's what seperates consensual slavery from enforced slavery)

If one chooses to leave one's Owner, even if one has signed a contract, or has agree that if one leave's the Owner one will loose all one's posessions, in the US, this simply isn't the case. One may have to go to some work to get one's money/things/etc back, but especially if the couple has been together long enough to have a common law marriage, property belongs to both parties.

I hear what you're saying--that the decision to leave one's Owner shouldn't be made lightly--and I agree. However, in the US, one can -always- leave one's parnter, and one is protected (by law, I think, but don't quote me) if one wants one's property back. People leave their Owners for reasons other than "game playing" and I think it's important to keep in perspective he fact that this slavery is aggreed upon rather than inforced.

Well said. And I also believe that if that Master has broken his side of the contract...then the contract is null and void.

If a relationship is unhealthy mentally or physically, and you've put the work into it, then it's time to get out. You are not stuck until someone dies. Everyone, whether they be Dom, sub, Master, slave, bottom, top, a one legged nun with a pet goat...deserves to be happy with their life. You ALWAYS have the option to leave.

rose442 -> RE: leaving a Master (6/9/2006 12:43:21 PM)

I want to ask a question bofore I give my answer to this post. Are you wanting to do this within the lifestyle. As per the right way within the lifestyle? Or is the M/s relationship just kink? Or are you asking as everyone is answering, "the law".

I believe that all these answers are the same.

There are ways that are...accepted protocal...I suppose within various structures of kink relationship, but it boils down to the fact that if a relationship has become harmful, the way to leave is the same, no matter what kind of relationship is going on--you walk out the door.

slavejali -> RE: leaving a Master (6/9/2006 1:40:55 PM)

You Just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

But if you have respect for this man...you might want to be a bit more tactful and considerate [:)]
And if you really see him as your Master, you might want to go through the mental and emotional dynamics of "asking" for release, it will give you both closure.

Graywolfsanat -> RE: leaving a Master (6/9/2006 1:47:16 PM)

Why there must be 50 Ways to leave your master…..
Just slip out the back, Jack!
Make a new plan, Fran!
No need to be coy, Joy….just listen to me.
Just hop on a bus, Gus!
You don’t need to discuss much!
Just drop off the key, Leah!
…and now you are free.

Paul Simon and I have more but you get the idea.
