I think the issue is more that Thatcher set the ball rolling on that one in this country. The debate as to whether Blair and his Scots mini me destroyed as much employment with their own programme has yet to be settled, after all.

Scots and Scottish is interchangeble in today language, even those of veddy propah English language do it. As seen here.

Scotch is only used for booze, tape and eggs. People from Scotland are either Scots or Scottish, as Ron says.

Some of the single malts are bloody good: it's the blending that tends to fuck a lot of the stuff up. And anyway, not even the worst scotch is half as bad as swill like Jim Bean. Dreadful muck.
