Ok, fess up! If you have a partner that you belong to (or who belongs to you; and often both), share the one (or few) thing(s) about them that makes you the happies - that makes you feel that you belong together.

Most people who have read my posts here and there know about my girl, and my countdown in my sig (it's hours, now, before I visit her for five wonderful days). She belongs with me and I with her, without a doubt. She makes me a happier and better man; I love her, care for her and look after her, and she loves me and lets me. Just right for our particular dynamic (D/g). [;)]

Go ahead, share a fuzzy feeling.

Too many!

He says He loves me more <coughBULLSHITcough>
He wants to marry me!
He let me move half way across the world to be with Him!
That we finish each others sentences or answer the question exactly how the other would.
We spend a lot of our day laughing together.
I can be a total dork around Him and be 100% comfortable in doing so.
That He indulges my bratty side because it's part of me.

..I could go on and on, but I don't want to clean up anyone's puke.

I'm drawing a blank on the fuzzy feelings at the
moment. actually, I'm not sure I have fuzzy
feelings. My soul is so hollow, light cannot escape...
But congratulations for you! Heh

How do you even answer this question really? By now there are a hundred million little ties that bind us. Together they form a big fat rope. But if you pick apart the rope all you end up with is a bunch of little fibers each one meaningless by itself.

Cheer up! The OP is just asking what gives you warm fuzzies about your other. He isn't asking you to dissect your relationship down to its tiniest minutiae.

*sheesh*

With My last partner I would say that everything came back to complete acceptance, genuine love and affection, and our shared sense of ridiculous and often dorky humor. All of the ties that bind that bound us together flowed from those three things. It also helped that we were insatiably attracted to one another!

I miss that and hope to find something wonderfully unique and beautiful again one day.

Congratulations to you and yours.

We can talk about anything - and I mean ANYTHING. I dont have to hide and feel like Im some kind of freak. I can ask him anything and he'll tell me his truth. I dont have to put up any defenses so that Im afraid that if I say or ask something wrong that he'll leave me.

littlewonder -> RE: Belonging (7/14/2012 6:36:52 PM)

Everything! I mean really, there's no way to separate it to just one thing. His love, his caring, his dominance over me, the way he smiles at me, the way we share in our most intimate thoughts, I could go on and on.....

lizi -> RE: Belonging (7/14/2012 6:49:09 PM)

I love the way that we have the same sense of goofiness. We match in many other ways too, activity levels, competitiveness, conversational style, liking of physical proximity, communication, etc.

pissdoll -> RE: Belonging (7/14/2012 7:06:26 PM)

we met volunteering. i have witnessed countless circumstances of him selflessly coming to the aid of people who have no ability or resources to aid themselves. he helps others without concern of who is watching and has no interest in accolades. i fell in love with him when he came to the assistance of a young person who everyone else refused to help because doing the right thing required making waves and being unpopular. he stands for what is good and just in the world and i consider myself so incredibly fortunate that he loves me.

sheisreeds -> RE: Belonging (7/14/2012 7:39:23 PM)

I love how we get better, and happier every single day. The small things prove it to me the most, how we love talking about the same geeky subjects, how well our senses of humor compliment, and how amazing we are at creating mayhem whenever we are out in public. I love how much we have grown as individuals, and as a couple through one another. I love how we can always count on each other. I love how his way of coping when he is sick is to sew a hat. I love his playful and daily mistreatment of me ;) Our mutual obsession with our cats . . . I could go on and on.

*laughs* That was exactly the problem I had... where do you start? how would you ever end? how do you decide that one bit is somehow better than the other?

What I most appreciate about Carol is her Carol-ness.

PrincessJessieJ -> RE: Belonging (7/14/2012 10:50:17 PM)

Every time she starts cussing about the twonks at work.
Every time I trip over a stack of books and realize the one i stubbed my toe on was one i'd bought her two or five years ago.
Every time I manage to catch her asleep and just stand and watch her for a little bit(not as easy as you'd think- she's got a healthy paranoia)
Every time I see her rip into some dumbass for being.. well, a dumbass. <3
Every time I see her. Period.
Any time she tells me she trusts me.
How we can talk to each other and just.. know. Know what's going on in the others head when it comes to most things.
How we can sit there for hours not talking- reading, games, work, writing, whatever- and still be with each other.
How we can just.. Be.

There's so much more than this, but i'm not going to post it here. if I did, i'd be typing all day and night and then some, and still never hit all of it. <3333

For the record- it's a geeky sort of love. We met in an online rp group on yahoo. I had a crush on her to start, but didn't really fall until certain things happened in my life and I couldn't stand it on my own anymore.
She taught me that 'it's okay to ask for help' is more than an empty assurance.
