I couldn't agree more SubRob,the irony in suggesting that drugs destroyed something Limbaugh never possessed in the first place.Sometimes Irony can be stretched too far so as to be just plain stupid....like Limbaugh himself

Ya all do not recall much about the character of Bane, do you?

Anyways. . . I doubt that this will affect the male population. I forsee that they will only remember Anne Hathaway.

Rush Limbaugh is an idiot .....The only kudos I give to him is he did make it onto an episode of "Family Guy" and they made him seem not so bad...

Rush Limbaugh Has An Awesome And Insane Conspiracy Theory About The Batman Villain 'Bane' And Bain Capital

To Rush Limbaugh, it can't be a coincidence. The villain in the new Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises," is named "Bane." The name of Mitt Romney's old private-equity firm? Bain Capital.

"Do you think that it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire breathing four eyed whatever it is villain in this movie is named Bain [sic]?" Limbaugh asked on his radio show today, according to a transcript of the audio on his show's website.

But the character Bane first appeared in Batman comics in 1993. The Bane character in "The Dark Knight Rises" was chosen in early 2011.

Limbaugh continued, questioning whether or not the villain would influence voters at all.

This movie, the audience is gonna be huge. A lot of people are gonna see the movie, and it's a lot of brain-dead people, entertainment, the pop culture crowd, and they're gonna hear Bane in the movie and they're gonna associate Bain. The thought is that when they start paying attention to the campaign later in the year, and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bain, Romney and Bain, that these people will think back to the Batman movie, "Oh, yeah, I know who that is." (laughing) There are some people who think it'll work. Others think you're really underestimating the American people to think that will work.

Conservatives have been questioning "how long it will take" the Obama campaign to use the homonyms to attack Romney. Ironically, comic book writer Chuck Dixon, who created the Bane character, worried about this exact scenario on a message board Monday, according to the Washington Times.

In rush`s '1984'ish POV,it`s constant war in the trenches with liberals and Hollywood is the enemy base and anyone in media(from Hollywood or not)is a liberal enemy soldier.

The only way not to be a part of the liberal conspiracy is to parrot rush and fuxnews.......otherwise.....you`re with "them".....even if you`re not political or liberal or have worked for a republican.....

One would have thought by now that lush would have a 20-30 something year-old factchecker/fuch-up-catcher near, to warn lush when he starts to ramble incoherently......

To old and the gurb catcher would be clueless like lush....to young and they might miss the references.

But if you could pay someone say 35 years old, enough to listen to rush every day,lush would have someone there to save him from making dumb cultural/media faux pas.

Does anyone remember rush accusing the President of making war on Christians,sending US troops to kill Christians in Africa?

This is true, but Dixon's nearly as notoriously right leaning (in real terms, not Hollywood ones) as Steve Ditko or Beau Smith.
