Despite the bullshit spouted on here about the outcome of intervention in Libya, those pesky Muslims have voted for a secular government. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-18880908 I await the views from the previously vocal Islamophobes, who told us what a disaster Obama and the West had committed..

One out of three is not exactly deserving of a validation of policy … I was not one to spout off about radicals taking over but with the those percentages you should not be spouting off either. I do understand the actions we took and the type of support were different in each case but the results are nonetheless disappointing I would say anyway. Butch

I've heard various rumours of Cameron being described as a bit of a thickie by those who've met him. George Michael and Obama, for instance. The latter, so I heard, said of him, 'Gee, that guy's a lightweight'. I'm beginning to think he'd be out of his depth in a kiddies' paddling pool.

Hi Politesub…I hope you are staying dry…I sure wish we here in Missouri could have some of your rain…Drought and 38 C average temp since late June. Of course I am talking about Tunisia and Egypt as the two of three that are moving towards extremists governments. And…don’t forget our support of regimes that suppressed their Arab Springs. It is a step forward for Libya but it is too early to say their newly formed and elected government will survive an Islamists backlash. Butch

It always amazes me that people think in a country that is filled with citizens who are Islamic,(about 90%) are supposed to Not Vote for an Islamic?.....Who else would they vote for? I don't think there are that many Southern Baptists in Lybia..... To think that there wouldn't be some rather extreme Muslim's of some sort involved in the government, when the country is 90% Muslim, is really pretty stupid!..... I'll still bet on the people being better off than under Gaddafi....
