You can find some great soy candles at the link below. I contacted them once and had them made a special batch with leather scent. Then also have a candlewarmer for $9.99 And the great thing about soy is that it is infact a great skin moisturizer and there's no chemicala or petroleum byproducts in them. www.eternal-harmony.com regards SP

I've found the best Soy-based Essential Oil candles! Soy-based candles burn at such a low temperature, you really can just drop the wax straight onto the body from mear inches. (I use these for massage therapy during the day). The oils penetrate the skin and the soy wax seals the oil into the skin. Soy candles also burn inward, so no dripping down the taper, however I use candle cans, using 1 or both wicks, depending on how much liquid I intend to use. They're $20 retail, but you can purchase bulk for $9.97 but not sure minimum purchase since I buy dozens at a time...made by 3 sisters out of their homes. See www.Body2Spirit.com. but if you need more heat, the tried-and-true parafin is still good. Just my humble input on the subject

G'evening all: Was kind of shocked to noticed no one mentioned this tip; work body lotion into the skin prior to wax play, makes the wax peel or flake off much easier. Clean-up time is next to nothing this way. Someone did mention shower curtains. They're fab. The 99 cents stores have them in an array of colors. You can coordinate with your furnishings, lol. Aside from the obvious tips concerning scented & colored, avoid metallic candles. They'll burn like a biatch! Ever see those plastic, sharp edged spatulas? They make great scrapers for removal. HINT: never drip wax onto hair, even if you pretreat the hair (pubic). Wax is a wicked farker to remove from hair as it bonds with it. Hair is porous, remember that. Ok, fresh out of ideas. I buy the dollar glass tube ones at wall mart. They are filled with wax that go along way. They are easy to melt in a pot of hot water. So there you have it. Cheap, easy to work with, and able to reuse if any is left in the tube. I like useing syringes to extract the wax and drip onto my pet.

While paraffin melts at paraffin 115° - 126°F Soy will more than likely burn. Unless you use parffin first then soy.

Thanks for the melting point notes of soy vs paraffin. Don't know if the essential oils lower the soy temp, but within a second of removing from the can, it's lowered to almost zilch! But again, these are just the ones I use & can't speak to pure-soy-only ones. About wax on body hair - did I learn [:o]THAT one FAST the first time I experimented on my hairy little sub!!
