The basic idea is that GM was lax and allowed its IT to sprawl. Having facilities overseas is part of that.

I hope that some CEO gets the idea that if IT is better done here, that maybe the same principles will hold for manufacturing as well.

In-Sourcing could do more good for the company than all the TV commercials they could buy!....Of course, they would buy commercials to announce it

Given how rare insourcing is these days, would you begrudge them getting some publicity out of it?

I have been waiting years for the circle to come back around.
It's sad that so many in positions of power, could not see how
BAD unbridled corporate outsourcing was for our citizens and for our
country.

I remember growing up, and as a little girl smiling when I looked at the labels in my clothes that said, "Made in America".

When was the last time you saw that label?
