It's been 2 1/2 years since Alpha wore me down and convinced me to become a moderator. I had resisted for a long time, happily doing other jobs for the site. But one day she caught me in a "why the hell not" moment, and I agreed.

The time has come for me to take a little vacation, to recharge, to refresh, to renew. I'm not sure how long this vacation will last. Since some people may take this as an invitation to tell me what they think of me, I'm going to lock this from the start. I'm not that big of a glutton for punishment.

As much as (obviously) I didn't want to have heart surgery, I think in some ways it gave me a needed break. You have given buckets of blood for the site, we totally understand. Spend some time on you, you have been so giving to the forums and vid-chat, you deserve a break from them and to take that time for yourself. You deserve it. :)
