I have seen that vid before.. a little claustaphobic for me.. although there are youtube vids on mini apartments that are like 75 sq ft..

I could live fairly well in about 400 to 600sq ft tho, if it was well laid out but I would have to have bookcases around the entire perimiter of the room.. I have a serious book and magazine addiction..

I like the concept of loft beds but since i have never had one, I dont really know if I would love it or hate it.. Living alone is very different than living with someone tho.. when I live with someone I want more of a traditional & bigger home.. (one with a hidden secret sex room)

That was very neat, Greedy!!! I loved seeing what could be done with a small space since we live in a small space. We live in a motor home of about 330 square feet. We never feel cramped. It's plenty of room. We've done some of our own remodeling to make the motor home serve our needs better. The livingroom had 2 couches so one was removed and replaced by storage cabinets. The desk in the bedroom was also removed and replaced by an armoir. You can never have too much storage.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.

I have an 25foot RV in CA but I could not live happily in it for long.. I really need enough room to exercise in, it drives me crazy if i dont have that, even if i have a fitness club membership (since i dont do weights or that stuff there).. and room for my books, of course..

What is wrong with outside for exercising? We spend a lot of our time out on the patio when we're in Arizona or on our front lawn when we're in Montana. Our outdoor area is always an extention of the motor home. I do have to admit, a 25 footer would be a bit harder to live in full time. I could do it if i were alone, but not with a partner.

Not for me. My house is 1400 sq feet and that seems a little small at times..

its a privacy thing, I think.. not to mention an organization thing with a bench and weights, a thick rubber mat, various other exercise stuff.. even if i could put all that stuff outside, i would feel too exposed, I dont like doing that stuff at the gym for the same reason.. I guess thats just one of my quirks..

someday, I want to have a motorhome (I'd like a Prevost, but would settle for an AIrstream knockoff...LOL).

back to the apt in the vid though... I love how he used ceiling tracks and wheels to move things around, and mirrors to accentuate the light and space.

just brilliant!!

If you're interested in ways to transform a small space into something more comfortable and let your creativity flow with your living space... This is a really nice channel dedicated to showcasing people doing the same things as that original video.

Nope nothing specific, I just figured people would enjoy that channel as much as I have over the past few years I've been following it.

I've got about 2200 SF. It's a bit much sometimes but in the summer, it's full of baseball players so it gets crowded.

You know, the older I get, I have realized that I require less space, as long as I have "my" space.

Transformers were a bit after my time.
Now Star Wars figures and the Action Force (GI Joe to Americans) business, is a bit more interesting...

I love small houses. The largest place I've ever lived in was 1,200 sq. ft. My current is 950. I love having to figure out how to make everything I need and want fit into the space I'm given. It's a fun challenge. The most fun was a small 400 sq ft apartment in upstate NY. I've had offices in closets, silverware drawers in the linen closet, baking equipment in the living room, and exercise equipment tucked away in the dining room.

I especially like the original link. What an interesting way to look at a living space - how the space can adapt to one's current use and move around a person rather than the person moving around the space. How very egocentric. I love it. ;)

Saw that a year or so ago....beyond remarkable...totally awesome....a good lesson, of course.

I live in a 3,800 sf house...3 bedrooms, me and two cats...my bedroom is 750 sf with 2 walk in closets that easily are larger than most people's bedrooms (and some apartments)...California closets...each 250 sf each....it dawned on me a week or so ago, I have (another) house that is 2,150 sf....and I don't need this much space, and the more space I have...the more shit I collect.

(I actually love this place but....it's too gawdamned big).

I'm 53, single....what the hell do I need all that space for?

So, in October, I'm moving into my smaller rental, getting rid of all this shit I (never) need(ed) and having a garage sale.

Stupid shit.

Downsizing before my kid tells me "Pops"....you're getting old...you're gonna fall down....get rid of all that shit".

(Fucker just wants my shit....can't blame him...I may have to kill him).

Another 10 years and I'll get told I need to move into a 1,200 sf space.

It's a commie plot.

Fuckers.

Nearly every RVer dreams of a Prevost conversion. Even though we have an RV that most people would love having, we dream of that special custom Prevost. Sadly, unless we hit the lottery big, the Prevost will remain just a dream.
