Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!!!! Seriously, spell check is your FRIEND.

I want to welcome you, but good god, the way you write, both here and in your profile would lead a person to believe that a child or mentally challenged person wrote it. I don't want either of those options, here.

Looks like she tried to do this on an iPhone.

OP, welcome to the discussion side of CollarMe (called CollarChat). Here we are all equals and don't roleplay. If you want to come across as a person we'll treat you like one.

If you are using your phone to access the site, I would suggest you wait until you get home and use an actual keyboard and browser that will do spell check for you. When all you have is the written word, it is important that you be understood.

If an iPhone turns a person's typing into that garble, I sure as hell do not want one!

Agreed. I HAVE an iPhone and even post from it from time to time, and manage to have things come out just fine. I'm not sure I'm buying the iPhone excuse - I mean the poster can see perfectly fine what is coming up on the screen for the most part. When you end up with a bunch of garble, I don't think it's the tool being used, it's the person using it.

Welcome Mrsknish, good luck finding what you are looking for.

ARIES83 -> RE: saying hi (7/24/2012 4:11:39 PM)

Hello OP. Not a clue what you said, but I happen to love a good knish.

SirLangsdorff -> RE: saying hi (7/26/2012 2:29:13 PM)

Spelling is everything, try to do it correctly. Welcome to CM and good luck on your treasure hunt.

FrostedFlake -> RE: saying hi (7/26/2012 11:21:39 PM)

SPELLING

I don't see any use in having a uniform and arbitrary way of spelling words. We might as well make all clothes alike and cook all dishes alike. Sameness is tiresome; variety is pleasing. I have a correspondent whose letters are always a refreshment to me, there is such a breezy unfettered originality about his orthography. He always spells Kow with a large K. Now that is just as good as to spell it with a small one. It is better. It gives the imagination a broader field, a wider scope. It suggests to the mind a grand, vague, impressive new kind of a cow.

Mark Twain - speech at a spelling match, Hartford, Connecticut, May 12, 1875.
Reported in the Hartford Courant, May 13, 1875

Hat tip.
