NibbyJibby -> Title Search (7/24/2012 4:50:46 PM)

In having completed the meat and potatoes aspect of a money slavery literary project, two title options have been decided upon. I would be appreciative if someone could offer advise as to how i would determine if said titles are already in use. I did a Google search for both and fortunately did not find similar titles. Is there another source i should be checking?

Thanks

You could check the Library of Congress.

For some reason the link won't post??

Forgive Me but I am not really sure what you are asking. I viewed your profile and see you have more than a few posts pertaining to fin Dommes and the like. Could you go into detail about your question?

Thank you Delilya as Library of Congress i had not previously given thought to. Although the link did not work, your input created so i did go here

http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=Second

and conducted a search. So far so good, in that it seems titles for book thus far have not been published :-)

A project for publication nears completion. Two titles have been decided upon and my quest is to confirm neither title is already in use.

Titles cannot be copyrighted. With rare exception (and I won't go into the legal details), you are legally safe to use any title. If Google your proposed titles and nothing at all shows up, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you very much for enlightening me and providing insight we can proceed without undo concern :-)

LadyPact -> RE: Title Search (7/25/2012 4:52:13 AM)

Wow! You actually got a publisher interested in the client's point of view? That's pretty amazing!

Best of luck.

NibbyJibby -> RE: Title Search (7/25/2012 7:33:15 AM)

Yes the first of two projects comes to fruition and serves as precursor for the second project. With current task She has decided to forego a publisher in favor of the electronic route and a limited run by a printer. It shall serve as a foundation stone and provide insight in that this is uncharted territory for both of us.
