i'm into futurism and cubism. i have a lot of large canvasses hanging in my house. i like the third picture on your profile..the blue and black painting. i can hear the sound in it. sweet!

Hmm. So the picture with the Miles Davis poster in the b/g. I see a woman being burnt at the stake. The next picture (the one that has a file name of tumblr_m7ofbyjYlY1rym8e6o1_1280.jpg) I see a double bass being consumed by fire. The next (tumblr_m7of8bsQIc1rym8e6o1_1280.jpg) I see someone with a curious arm deformity. Although the execution of the hand around the photo looks as if it might be pretty good. I have to be honest, I don't feel them. I don't get that soul-lurching realization that I get from looking at some modern paintings. They feel a little derivative, but I can't decide whether you're trying too hard, or not hard enough. I also looked at your doodles (the "So I got Bored" thread) - Take a couple more life classes. [Ed to change the spelling of double bass from "double base" - Jesus, I don't know what has happened to my spelling!] [Ed to change the spelling of my from "by" in my previous Ed relating to the first spelling error. Fuck.]

Using FR: Don't quit your day job !! Seriously, I don't like your paintings. It's not that I can't understand and appreciate modern art, but like a lot of modern art it's more of a performance or a statement than actual art (to me). And yes, I know those lines are blurred. But before you can blur them successfully, you need the foundation in color and design, not to mention the technical skill. Frankly, I see none of that. ETA: Art is supposed to say something. What does your art say, to you?
