Seriously?

I swear I'm having a hard time even coming with something to say because I'm flabbergasted that you were dumb enough to give a complete stranger your credit card number.

Is it just me or is there a ratio between how much they put into the OP and how much money they were taken for?

I feel this one lies somewhere between a meal out for two and the contents of a chest freezer.

You see a transaction on your credit card bill that was unauthorized, I mean all you do is call the CC company and tell them that and guess what, you get your money back, pronto. If it's reoccurring they issue a new card with a new card number and cancel the old one and nobody can withdraw money anymore. Done and dusted card is out of business, nobody can use it anymore...

Apart from that, ever heard of this magic little thing called prepaid credit cards? In case anything seems just slightly dubious, you use those and the most you lose are possible $10 to $50 you got on the cards - you find those cards in a supermarket near you - end of public service announcement...

(mumbles to self: "thought you have to be an adult when you get a credit card...."

I'm glad I'm not that stupid, even if I have paid a scamster more than I can afford...

All I can say is wow.......

I have encountered these scammers at least 4 times in 2 months (and I have only been active on here about that long)claiming to be subs, it wasn't very hard to tell they were scammers....the first clue was "give me money so I can see you"

Then she wasn't a scammer, she earned it the hard way

That's one point of view, I suppose.
She didn't fucking earn what I paid her though. I can promise that.

People should send me stuff. I need a waterproof coat, toner for the copier, and some books.

I dont want the credit card number - I'll be quite happy with the card, if you would be kind enough to post me the pin number in a different envelope (for security reasons) I would be most appreciative - thank you

Of course, your credit card number could still be out there.

I could check for you, what was the number again?

Maybe we can start a forum like those websites where people ask for things they need so people can donate them? I'm all for it. It satisfies the needs of those paypiggies and the person making the request. Whatdya think?

I could use about $5,000 to cover medical expenses (I'm not saying it's needed medical.)
In search of a few paid meals out so I don't have to cook
Oh and that credit card you have that seems so very useful...in working order, thank you.

I concur.

OP~~ just because you were obtuse & desperate enough to give a complete stranger your CC# doesnt mean anyone else would be. Thank you for the ALLCAPS warning though.
