Okay, LadyPact has a point...so I'll bite.

To the OP...yes, I do. Never have with anyone else in the past cuz it just wasn't my kink. But! LOL, making bo wear lace panties makes his penile piercings get rubbed a lil bit all day long... The lace is...funner to rub my fingernails over. [;)]

I dunno. I don't have my sub wear any kind of clothing that is not visible to others.

Not so much about what is exciting, (though I'm sure it can be) but more from the aspect of what is pleasing to the eye. My preferences being more important than his. In fact, I'm the opposite of the OP. I'd rather see a man in damn near anything else, with a particular preference for bikini briefs. Oh, clip has them for certain dress code requirements for the job, but he's not permitted to wear them at home.

Personal preference again, absolutely no female underwear on the boy. I'm cool with silk boxers for the guys who want the softer feel, but female undergarments on a guy are a complete turn off (read deal breaker) to Me.

As far as I know only cotton breathes like cotton. Perhaps someone can directly address the silk issue.

I'm the opposite way. I Hate tighty-whitey underwear. I prefer them to wear boxer briefs.

Japanese mint oil or deep heat... And you don't want them to sit still at first, a little bit of movement and sweat first makes it all the better
