Tantriqu -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/6/2012 8:50:49 AM)

Note the vast majority of the top five can be easily fixed with a shave, a dental visit, and otherwise good grooming, and that's from a lot of women answering the questionnaire. They're not 'shallow', that's good manners. Shallow is something I see on dating sites: eye colour?!? REALLY?!?? Or testicle size.

As stated, I've dated a coupla guys with facial hair, but it had to be meticulously groomed. In addition to the lack of social signals and leftover shelters, beards can *hurt*. Face burn, labia burn, and hands up ladies who have ever felt a moustache hair go SPROING between a tenderly and tender engorged clit and its hood: eeeYOWWWW!
And being straight, I don't want to kiss anything resembling a cunt, and man, I've kissed a couple: ew. Hmmm, wonder if more bi- folks like beards than straight chicks . . .

Why do you think women are more shallow than men??

Everyone is allowed to have their preferences, aren't they?

This thread asked what physical turn offs you have; I venture to say that most of us women really care more about compatibility of the mind, heart, spirit, values, etc. but don't be hypocritical, the first attraction is always physical.

Not always, actually. I've had several partnerships that began because of mental connections while I found the physical... lacking, shall we say. This thread has reminded me that women put even more emphasis on looks than men do. I have found, and probably will continue to find, that the best people fall outside of whatever idea of "normal" our society has constructed this week. I certainly find them much more interesting and enjoyable company than the so-called "average" person, whom I’m forced into contact with every day by my job. Quite frankly, I can’t decide if I despise or pity them. Their goals, dreams, ambitions, etc. have been beaten and compromised out of them. They are sedated, subdued, assimilated, and the only way they seem able to cope with it is to do the same to the next generation.

What I am saying is dont judge someone because they look different. You might miss out on some of the greatest people you will ever know.

psst, you're not a bad lookin dude...why your panties in such an uproar?

Lucifyre

Its actually more a matter of principle than anything else. Myself, I couldent accept being with someone who would reject another person just on looks alone.

Another thing... We guys are actually pretty disgusting creatures, especially when you women folk arent around. We sweat, cuss, belch, fart, and scratch in unnerving places. Most of us, hell all of us, are not the suave, cool action hero or the sweet romantic pretty boy you see in movies. In fact, I have the feeling real people have never written movies...

sexyred1 -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/6/2012 10:00:39 AM)

Uh, YSG? Newsflash: most of us who have lived with men already knew that. Not sure why you keep insisting that you are not shallow and how you cannot believe that others reject those based solely on looks.

Seems a bit idealistic given our looks and youth obsessed society.

YSG -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/6/2012 10:13:01 AM)

Just because I am technically part of a culture does not mean I am of it. I find American culture revolting most of the time.

That's what I was thinkin ^^

plus, this:

That is what I had my avater as for awhile, one of the reasons being because I was too embarrassed to show my real body shape and a picture of some hot chick is way more attractive. Just go look at the K&P page on you know *that other site* it's chock FULL of skinny bitches. Because that'd what you penis doting neandrathals like to look at whether you like to admit that shit or not. Sports car commercials have skinny little sexy chicks with perky titties...because you're just as fucking shallow as us wimminz are....Hello pot, meet kettle...and fek right off ;)

Said with much loveness for all men out there because we know you better than you do, I promise.

Well, ladies, I'd agree, except I'd put long hair and bitten fingernails before smoking:

from a British website, 'Females First':
The biggest physical turnoffs about men:

#1) Beards: [:'(] 38% of women said this was the biggest turnoff

#2) Bad Breath: [X(] 27%

#3) Excessive Piercings: [:@] 16%

#4) Tattoos: 13%

#5) Smoking: 11%

Tattoos were the biggest turn-offs about women

Interesting. I love beards and some tattoos. I dont mind a few piercings. I dont give a fuck about smoking for two reasons; I dont like kissing as much as most women, and IF I do kiss all he has o do is brush those teeth.

Bad breath...hm.. If im just fucking a guy, I don care about his breath to be honest.

My top 5 turnoffs
Short
Odd body type
Small penis
ED problems
High body fat percentage/weigh to much for their height

Im a bit of a hypocrite for that last one, but I dont care. Women can afford to be plump. Heh

SpyUnderCover -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/6/2012 6:41:07 PM)

My top 5 physical turn-offs would probably be:

1. Poor hygiene
2. Facial hair
3. Long fingernails (no, no, and no!)
4. A voice that is high, squeaky or raspy
5. A comb-over

However, non-physical turn-offs would probably break the deal even if all the physical ones were absent. They would be:

1. Arrogance
2. Someone constantly interrupting me
3. Bigotry/narrow mindedness
4. Passive-aggressive behavior
5. Being dishonest with me or with himself

Oh! And close runners-up to that list:

6. Immature, sophomoric behavior
7. Manipulative behavior

This research was sponsored by an electronic cigarette company so it's not surprising that bad breath and smoking came in the top five. Beards seems an unlikely #1 but that may have been how they framed the questioning. They may have lead people to get an unusual answer in hopes of getting more attention for their survey

Tantriqu -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/6/2012 10:23:26 PM)

Resistance is futile! As we can see; most Dommes replying ain't liking the beardies either: happy to oblige with more fodder, this time even with illustrations:

http://www.girlswithslingshots.com/comic/gws-854/

Beard-bashing is happening for several reasons: Aspergy-/IT-ishness, looks, feel, hygiene.
And if it's electronic ciggies' ploy only, I'm sure smoking would be numero uno instead of cinqo. Oh, and nicotine-stained beards? Double-eurgh.

FrostedFlake -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/7/2012 9:40:38 AM)

Frankly, I doubt beards are really that repulsive.

Men have been wearing them for quite a while now and there seems never to be a shortage of short people.

I can see where bad hygiene plus a beard can add up to something extra nasty, but that is not about the beard. It's about the Wrens.

RemoteUser -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/7/2012 9:46:49 AM)

I only have face fur because she likes it. I showed her several stages shaving down from a full beard to bald, and let her pick.

After all, she's the only one I have to look good for. [;)]

Same thing with Mr. Mostly all it took for Him to adopt the look he as atm was me making some offhand comment of "I wonder what it would look like if you did..." and next thing I knew he was shaving his head. or letting his goatee grow...and of course after he made the changes I was all like <total swooniness>
not that He didn't look teh complete sexiness before the changes, but as we've aged, some of the things he had going on before He kind of grew out of.

TBH I don't really care what he does with his beard or his hair or how he dresses (as long as He washes His ass and brushes His teeth)...He makes me all electrified no matter what <grin>

This is ever so true. Your beard is quite charming, Frosted, and enhances your look.

(And wrens are not nearly as untidy as sparrows)

forcedsensuality -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/8/2012 11:06:42 PM)

i'm slightly on the short side and am usually into women my height or smaller ..

my question then, is taller women dominating shorter men seen very much ?

.. my natural response to a taller woman is much more of a natural submissive instinct, e.g. wrestling with a big woman who has an unfair advantage ,,

but are the *women* really excited at all by the feel of dominating a smaller man or are they really more naturally inclined to taller guys (who nevertheless get dominated) ?

forcedsensuality -> RE: Top 5 Physical Turn-Offs: what do you think, ladies? (8/8/2012 11:35:00 PM)

now cross-posted to taller domme shorter sub thread, sorry

Its been my experience coffee makes breath smell nasty.

I'm the same.
Interesting that beards and/or bad oral hygiene squick us all out so much that severe obesity didn't make the top 5.
I actually dumped a guy I met on here because of his bad breath which even coffee and toothpaste couldn't hide.
