LOL, Mari.  I'm in the desert, but hardly wandering (and if you get lost these days, the sea of red anti-collision lights on the windmills makes it very easy to find your bearings in the darkness).

Sorry, but I'm a wised up former Democrat, and frankly, we are worse than ex-smokers.  Gore broke all the old illusions, and that was without knowing Westboro Baptist endorsed him in '88.

tazzy, Rich is very fun-loving and polite to me.

Rich and I, only agree on a few things, but I enjoy chatting with him.
I don't really like to only surround myself only with "Yes/I agree with you people".

I don't think our society is going to have much of a chance, if we can't at least attempt to disagree in a civil manner.

We can agree to disagree, and discuss our differences without lowering ourselves.

This is a message board on an alternative website, we are not making decisions or running the world here.

Being able to talk in a civil manner to those with very different political views, can be done, but it's becoming harder and harder these days.

I can see some sort of bright light in almost anyone that really loves and cares about our country, and really wants the best for it.

Even, if they are misguided about how to achieve it, like most conservatives and Republicans.

WE are the answer to all our problems, Rich.

When government makes bad decisions, unfortunately, it requires government to fix the fuck ups. Rarely do I see government as the solution... there are a few instances.. like health care.. where I see it as the only solution after decades of abuse.
