No one's started it yet, so here I go. How is everyone this month? WooHoo! I am feeling fantastic and doing the happy dance! [sm=hearts.gif] I've been corresponding and meeting with someone for quite awhile and it's official now. I have a submissive. He's smart, funny, easy to be around, and a real gentleman. It's a Sabbatical and I'm on it! Down in California, away from wet murky days & nights in Washington. Properly immersing Myself in painting, a mural commission and being at the right place at the right time to look after My darling lil Sister after shoulder surgery. Today though - today we go to play at the Beach! Yess. kites and surf, picnic and .. wait, not a sub in sight to fetch & carry or dig a sandcastle as I direct? (What is with California.. ooh look - there's one, hiding his head in the sand so nobody can identify him! laughies) Going to enjoy, hope you do too! Always the Lady ~ Always Wikked

Congratulations NBMG!! I'm having such a good week. The new medication that my grandimp is on is helping the tumors and she hasn't had a seizure in the last 2 weeks. Went to my first play party last weekend and had a ball. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I discovered that you could download Kindle to your pc, and that there are a lot of free books for it. I love to read, but getting out and about to find books can be problematic. Speaking of getting out and about... the bus company is finally going to settle with me. I'll get enough to pay off the hospital, doctors, lawyers, and have enough left over to buy a small car. Yippee! Freedom!! Boy toy has booked his flight, and even though that is really a September goodie, he sent the conformation last night, so I'm counting it. So yes, it's been a VerY good week. Can't wait to see what the rest of the month has in store.

Well, here we go. August brings the Alaskan Kinky Camp Out up here. Just a few more days until I'll be off in the woods somewhere for four days and three nights. I'm looking forward to it to no end. Relaxation, outdoor play, and not a thing to do but hang out with kinky people. On the home front..... I know some will be disappointed about the decision that I made, but clip lives with us full time now. After long and careful deliberation, this was the decision that was best for all within My authority. Not everybody on these forums will agree and I accept that. With this in mind, we are learning to be a full time family. Some of the littlest, stupidest shit gets in the way, sometimes. None of us are perfect, especially Me. Doesn't everybody have a honeymoon period? LOL. Last month I talked about the smoking thing and that is going really well. Progress continues. Other health related news. I'm off of the bad med entirely. I'm kind of glad to have My old, hard of hearing ears back, rather than being so noise sensitive that I jump at every little sound. I'll miss some of the things that I've become accustomed to hear, but it's a fair trade. Hope everybody is doing well.

HOOORAY for NBMG!! Wishing you the best! Can't ask for nicer weather on the Central Coast. The fog burns off around 10 and the long sunny 70 degree days are just precious. When there's time, there's been many beach hooky days (sorry, yoga teacher!) The band officially has a name, cards, the de rigueur dreaded Facebook page and photo shoot scheduled. Our other fiddler is a very talented artist who did a beautiful job on all the print media. I was amazed! Our first shakedown house concert is this Saturday, and our first 'official' gig is a huge private party the following weekend. The 5-string fiddle modifications are nearly finished and I'm chomping at the bit to play that puppy in and get it rockin'. My 112 year old 4-string will always be my favorite, though. I guess in that sense, I'm 'polyfiddle'. [8D] Having the opaque red roof on the cathouse changed out for clear polycarbonate. The kittehs have made it clear since they're not allowed outside to wander at large, they require more sun or they'll riot. I agree, as that's where I do my outdoor yoga and late afternoon reading (okay, I'm not reading...I'm audiobooking in a 0-gravity lounger with my eyes closed). All else is well. Hope everyone is happy and enjoying the last full month of summer! Dang, did that go fast or what?

Yay! I don't have to start my own thread! Ok, so here's MY big news for August: Last Friday I got the permanent tatoo eyeliner. I paid off BOTH cars yesterday which will save us almost $700.00 a month that I can now allot to savings and play money! On August 13th I am haveing a breast lift and reduction and a tummy tuck! After my surgery Mr is having me book a cruise for sometime in October/November-ish. I also get to buy new corsets and some other fetish wear after all the swelling goes down! WOOT!!! Yes we had something really nice happen in the beginning of the month and now we get to enjoy it! It wasn't a huge thing, but it was enough to make some really good changes and it's about fekkin time! Lucifyre

Nbmg, like the pic. August, I'm on Holidays! I desided instead of going anywhere, I'd use the same amount of money and see how long I can go without having to work, so im at 1 month now haha. Have to admit, I'm starting to go stir crazy and am doing handyman stuff around the house all day... Looks like I need to work to be content... Thats really fucked up. -ARIES

So many positive things going on... The Vanilla- My only male child will be turning 8 this month, which is awesome. My eldest female child will start high school. I have successfully completed another 4 classes while pursuing My second Master's degree (Sociology). I have done enough CEU's for My professional license (Addictions therapist) that I can cruise through the rest of the year without worrying. The Rest- I have acquired a female submissive, although she is long distance- she and I have engaged before and decided to give it another go with different expectations and boundaries. I have also be engaging with one of My favorites submissives on the planet- he makes Me all giddy. Me and My hubby-sub have been going strong for 5 years and it's been great... he is certainly more devoted, pleasing, and supportive than ever.

August is the time for introspection and reflection for Me. I start My vacation this weekend and will enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as time away from real life, although I will miss My job. Which is telling. I joined this site because I thought I was ready to start looking for a new relationship. I don't have much in the way of expectations but I thought it was a start. I've met some great people and even took a few months to explore the potential with one, which didn't work out. As I'm looking again I realize that I may not be as ready as I thought. Which is frustrating. My last LTR ended a couple of years ago. That should be plenty of time. Yet, I find Myself comparing everyone I talk to and everyone I meet to him. I miss him. It doesn't help that our relationship ended due to circumstances and not something going wrong. There is no blame, no anger, no negative or bad feelings. So this month, while I'm on break, I plan to examine if I am really ready for a relationship or if I want to wait, possibly years and years, to continue the previous relationship. I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer is no to both questions and that leaves Me at at impasse. I do know that casual play, partners, and so on is not satiating Me. I'm not sure if I'll have any answers by September. Here is to hoping!

The new job is going well. Right now, we're in a slow period so I get paid to sit around and read or work on my writing. The down side is that it's pretty boring. According to the department manager, we're supposed to be getting "more work than we can handle" in the very near future so I'm enjoying the quiet while it lasts. I just wish my body would get adjusted to the new schedule and stop doing things like waking up at 4:00am and falling asleep at 7:00pm. Not. Cool. On the relationship front, I celebrated my 10 year anniversary with my Beloved Spyder yesterday. [sm=cute.gif] While this is technically not August news, I don't care. You guys get to hear about it anyway. [:D]
