I always sign in over there first, then click on the message board sign...so does that show me over there, when im over here?

If you've noticed, the other side shows how long ago a person logged out of the other side... or has been idle but still logged in at the other side. When you login and click keep me logged in, it sets a cookie on your box, so that when you go to the other side you don't have to log in (cookie keeps you logged in). The same function on the server side polls logged in users. If a user has been inactive for a minute, it shows them last onlin 1 minute ago, and so forth. It has no way of knowing whether you are at the message board or any other site... just that you were not active in the last user poll... Sounds kinda complicated but really isn't.. if you login the other side and go to the message board, after 5 mins at the message board you should be listed as last on 5 min ago on the other side.
