Note to the moderators: I will be very disappointed if you do not accept this message, it presents the reality of some negative experiences I have had with this and other groups.

I know the tone here is supposed to be upbeat and positive, but the reality is that there is another world out there, people in this and other groups, who show a total lack of consideration for the people they contact. I have had countless experiences, since joining this group, with people I have spoken to at great length, who make plans to visit me, but never show up and never call, and never send emails, to say they aren't coming. I have driven an hour each way to BWI Airport to pick up three different guys who gave me flight numbers and arrival dates, but weren't on the planes. I recently sat home on a weeknight to meet a young man I met here. We had a great conversation. He made a date to come to my house, but never showed up and never called. A few days later I noticed he was online, and I contacted him. He told me he had sent me an email. Fat chance! There was no email. He said he was sorry, so I decided to be Mr. Nice Guy and I gave him a second chance. He stood me up on the second planned date. "Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me." Recently, a slave from this group contacted me and made a very passionate plea for me to get together with him on a specific night. He had very specific requests as to what he wanted our visit to include. On the night in question, after he didn't show, I called his number and he answered the phone. I asked him "Weren't you supposed to be at my house tonight?" He replied: "I can't come because I have to go out of town." I queried: "Weren't you planning to call and let me know?" His reply: "NO, I don't have time."

What is wrong with people out there? Are other Collarme users having the same experiences here and/or in other Master/slave forums? What is wrong with people? Is the Internet so impersonal and so anonymous that people feel no responsibility to follow up and cancel if necessary?

If the monitors of this group will allow it, I would love to hear some feedback from other members who may have similar stories.

Thanks to all who read this and respond.

I would like to note this was submitted to the "positive exp" section, hence the reference to that thread area in his post.

I am going to allow this here in the lounge for now and hope he gets some answers to his questions. I know this subject has been covered on prior occasions, maybe he can be pointed to the no show threads.

i have seen a lot of people complain about this same thing. i guess it is easy to be someone your not here online. i have never had this problem and all my dates have shown up and been really wonderful Men.

You say you have had long conversations with these people and such but i tend to think you need to get to know them better or be more critical before setting up meeting plans.

i think for the most part it is people lying about who they are and what they are looking for. They are only wanting some cyber fun... who knows...

couple of old threads on the subject -- NO SHOWS

another why don't subs show up?

hope these help and good luck *smiles*

( i need to refresh before i post i see proud beat me to it so links are probably duplicate... LOL)

It is funny that you originally posted this in the "Positive Experiences" section, so you have ample proof that people can and do get together. So I think the better question is "Why do you consistently seem to attract jerks who don't show up and why can't you weed them out?"
