Hello, everyone.

I've been told my profile is a bit defensive, and for that I apologize. I am not, by nature a defensive person, however, after having fielded a plethora of inquiries, ranging from polite to ridiculous, I've gotten a little "Up Front," about a few things.

I am here, primarily to find other like minded folks whom I can converse with about the lifestyle, to learn and to enjoy some sense of community. If, by happenstance I meet some one who accepts me for all my foibles and my baggage - so much the better.

I've been lurking on the forums for some time now, and so this is a new post, but I am not exactly new. I hope to engage in some interesting and intelligent dialog here.

Thanks a bunch for your time,

Raevan.

Welcome to CM, Raevanlittleoak. I love that name. We had a thread by Duskypearls in Off topic that you could explain how you came by it. I'm curious as yours sounds RenFaire-ish with a side of Native American. Your profile is awesome. Some dicknuggets will be dicknuggets. You've already sifted through some of the unwanted ones.

Stick around these parts & post some more, you'll be a fab addition. We like literate folks. (Please can we keep her? She's got a built in cookie keeper aka cleavage.)

First of all,

I was a lurker myself, and the best thing I did was jump in! I hope you have the same experience.

I absolutely look forward to seeing you around.

Allie

Hi there. You have a nice profile! Could I have your yahoo/msn/aol screen name?

It HAD to be said... With that out of the way, welcome to the forums.

I've read your profile and it's wonderful. There are many points I agree with regards some of your experiences with men on this site.

I'm sure you will receive messages telling you that you are not "submissive enough" because you make demands and list needs on your profile. Dontcha know we subs aren't supposed to have any wants and needs?

Welcome. I look forward to reading future posts from you.

Welcome!

That profile is fantastic, and honestly, the ones you alienate with it, are exactly the ones you want to alienate!

I like it when a man starts with "hey, got yahoo" cuz that tells me I can immediately block and delete without hesitation.

I think your profile is great except for the stuff you added due to frustration and recommend you delete it. The ones who don't bother to read profiles won't read it and you risk turning off the good guys.

Hi, welcome to CM and can I have your chat names?

Lol... With the mandatory preliminaries out of the way, from reading your profile I'm exactly the sort if guy you'd be looking for (assuming I was looking) and I would not have made it a third of your way into your profile before giving up. I'd also recommend eliminating all the defensiveness. I can't believe it stops the idiots but it definitely would have stopped me.

Hang on the forums and chat with us. It's a better way to get to know someone than a profile. Good luck in your search and enjoy the ride.
