MasterG2kTR -> Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/10/2012 8:58:29 PM)

I don't know how THIS BIRD can fly......he's got some brass balls that must weigh about 12 pounds apiece and one of these days that cat is gonna have some feathers sticking out of his mouth with a look on his face that says "What?.....he had it coming!!"

GreedyTop -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/10/2012 9:28:32 PM)

oh man... that bird is gonna be parakeet pie someday!! lol

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/10/2012 9:33:16 PM)

Wow, that's a bird who knows its turf!

Duskypearls -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/10/2012 10:38:01 PM)

That ain't no cat. No self respecting cat would tolerate that crap. Where is his predator instinct? Any cat worth his salt would've gobbled 'em up in a heartbeat!

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Ah, so on this we agree. I'd have a hard time respecting that kind of a cat. I don't care to see the "killer" bred out of a cat. Kinda goes agains nature in my book. One of the very reasons I appreciate them so is for their magnificiently fierce and skillful predatory instinct, which so beautifully contrasts with their soft, loving sides.

I wouldn't respect that kind of a cat, either. There was a bird shop next door to a nail salon I used to go to that had parakeets. I'd go in and look at the birds. The owner used to try to sell me one, but I told him a parakeet would not survive in my household. Even if my cats could not get in the cage, the poor bird would probably die of a heart attack from being stared at menacingly and having his cage pounced on. And If a bird EVER dared to pester one of my cats like that, it would be gone in a heartbeat.

Maybe it got imprinted by the cat and thinks that the cat is its mommy.

That's worse, 'cause then it's a case of the child steamrollering the parent, meaning that damned furball needs parenting classes to teach the little monster some manners!

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/12/2012 7:33:57 PM)

Also, I think the owner of these pets must not like that bird very much and/or needs to have his or her head examined. While the cat has been a wuss up to this point, the day may come when it has had enough and makes short order of that bird. And it will happen so quickly the owner won't be able to stop it. Who in their right mind lets a parakeet fly free with a cat around?

LadyRedRoseToo -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/12/2012 11:44:17 PM)

the monkey video made me think back to a visit to the zoo when i was in my early teens. couple of baboons decided to go at it right in view of the mass of humans staring at their enclosure, i'd swear they did it to piss off the church group that was there. this woman standing beside me was all huffy about seeing monkey sex and started hollering about why are they allowing them to do that? i gave her a look and said something to the effect of you have to be kidding, you can't be serious. she starts spouting off about how there are children and decent people here and they were letting them act like animals. i thought i was going to pee my pants i laughed so hard. she walked out, said something about complaining to someone. i hope they laughed at her too!

Shininglight23 -> RE: Parakeet Annoys Cat (8/13/2012 12:23:33 AM)

Yikes on the monkey video.

I think it's time for me to go to bed. When I have nothing better to do, but wander into a CM thread with a video of monkeys going at it... I know I've jumped off the ledge.

In reference to the cat... my cat would have eaten that bird alive. I second the opinion that the owner needs to wise up.
