Status: offline 		There's a perfect word that means "to treat two different things as the same." It's one word, and I think it has an in- or dis- or mis- prefix.

It's killing me inside that I can't recall.

The common definition of equivocate is accurate, but does not do that magic word justice. An equivocation is being deliberately ambiguous or unclear regarding two similar, but in fact different traits, to mislead people. To interchange "criminal" and "arrested" is an equivocation that suggests all arrested people are guilty.

MMMPH! Good word. I need a smoke.

Also a good one. Right now my favorite word is specious. It means a seemingly plausible or attractive argument that is in actuality flawed. I'm waiting to slip it into a post. Just one of those games I play with myself. I said "I play with myself."

Another game was to talk about playing with myself three times in a three line post.

Status: offline 		My favourite word is 'sequacious'. In rare usage, but surprisingly so since it conveys such a useful idea: it means 'inclined to follow'.

However, of course it would have little use on these forums because everyone here always his or her unique take on any given matter.

Top of the list at present for me is 'intoxicating'. I don't know why, but it boils my scrotum to molten lava when I see this word - generally used by women about a particular man's sensitive nostrils, eyelashes, the angle of his gentle and poetic earlobes, or some other such utterly wince-inducing piffle.

Why do women have to turn the fact of their having the hots for a given man into something like art appreciation? When a man fancies a woman, he doesn't feel the need to make out like he's got a frigging higher doctorate in aesthetic philosophy in order to express it. Jesus. Sometimes women can be so bloody anal.

Where was I? Oh yes, I was ranting. That's where I was.

Status: offline 		I use the words 'just' and 'so' too often. I blame Rudyard Kipling.

I do like a few words, chief among them "eloquent". One I take to heart for non-linguistic love is, "home". Words that make a scene in your head all of their own accord are always welcome to my ears.

Status: offline 		If I've drunk a lot of bad cider, I can belch the word 'Robespierre'. Normally I can only manage the words 'roast' or 'whelks', however. Or 'rissoles' if I'm on moderately cheap lager.
