I need to make one minor point though because I think the Carol's of the world are under-represented on these boards. If you were anywhere near Carol she would definitely be taking orders from you -- not in some sort of "strip & blow me bitch" sort of way. But in more mundane life situations she'd be looking for you to give direction. It wouldn't be any sort of disservice to our dynamic. In fact, I'd appreciate it because it'd make the woman I love more comfortable. Obviously, you'd be wise to get some input before doing so because you can't know whether you're looking at at Carol/Me or something else.

Not everyone "identifies as submissive to someone else". Carol just wants to support whoever's around that looks like a non-idiot and might need some supporting. I just happen to get a lot more of that than most.

On a separate note... and not that I care about being thought of as bedroom switch... I might well be although more likely is "I don't care"... but the whole leash in the restaurant thing was definitely kinky but had no power connotations in it. Jeff, you don't need to sell me on the idea that fetishes can be fun independent of power exchange. Hell, even in a D/s dynamic, if Master wants me to tug a string connected to his cock, I only ask "how hard?"

I'm not sure I understand about Carol in your last post. Are you suggesting Carol's people-pleasing mentality might make her follow my lead, so to speak? My previous posts were limited to when I had the express or implied authority of a dominant to control their submissive. I believe you were speaking outside of that. I understand that you were suggesting some people will follow a competent leader, even without formal paperwork.

I usually take initiative in that "looking for you to give direction" sort of way. Let's say we were hanging around the foyer, I would suggest "why don't we move to the living room, can I get anyone a drink. I'm having a scotch." I've established that it is preferable that we move to the seats, and that a drink is appropriate. Jeff, you are suggesting Carol would be attuned to that, and probably move to the living room and maybe request a drink. That is a far cry from the OP's "Master's female sub ordered me to buy a penis leash..."

Though I'd never speak for Lady Pact, I didn't think the kind of "command" that would make her "rip Her submissive's collar off so fast it would make his head spin" was an invitation to sit down.
