So... Lets say Bambi shaved yesterday. There, there... and there. Also there....

Now it feels like I'm covered in fire ants with razor-blade feet. Particularly these sweet cheeks are getting razor burn from sitting down. I've tried moisturizer and baby powder. Please help... What is the secret of the pros?

Bikini Zone. Works like a charm on those sensitive areas after shaving.

Duskypearls -> RE: Itchy Bambi (8/12/2012 7:23:13 PM)

I see they offer a depilatory creme for the bikini area. Wonder if it's safe for the whole kitty?

Ooops, just researched it...apparently not!

searching4mysir -> RE: Itchy Bambi (8/12/2012 7:48:44 PM)

waxing...just saying

Shaving a new area takes a little getting used to.

Using the sharpest (read, not cheap) razor helps too because instead of cutting the hairs off in blocks it kind of helps them have more of a finer tip so when they grow out they're not as bad.

Also, don't shave every day until the area is used to it (I don't shave anywhere more often than once a week...super sesative skin)

I've always liked very closely trimmed hair and love what the Lady Remmington does.

I use it for my manscaping needs and have introduced it to a few ladies.

Sorry, I never really liked "hard wood floors"

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Use a silicone-based lube to shave with. Then after, apply a few drops to skin when it starts to itch.

LatherMaster -> RE: Itchy Bambi (10/2/2012 11:17:44 PM)

You can try what you want. But a skilled barber with hot lather, straight shaving skills will give you the results you desire. LM

MHAP -> RE: Itchy Bambi (10/26/2012 5:06:49 PM)

you can also use any , "Pain relief" sunburn Gel with aloe(blue or green gel), as a short term relief....

absolutchocolat -> RE: Itchy Bambi (10/26/2012 5:15:53 PM)

using a shaving creme with vitamin e and/or aloe is helpful. also, summer's eve has a lotion that soothes newly-shaved lady parts.

GrandMasterChet -> RE: Itchy Bambi (10/28/2012 5:32:19 PM)

next time let me mow down those hairs with my teeth.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Itchy Bambi (10/30/2012 7:02:27 AM)

I use a Schick Hydro with a three-blade head. I have never cut myself and haven't had the horrible razor burn and ingrowns I used to get. I can shave really fast, too, and I have literally never cut myself with the thing.
A good razor will save you a lot of headache. I used to just use cheap disposables, but I will NEVER do that again.

cuckslaveUK -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/5/2012 7:03:36 AM)

Apparently it depends on which direction the hair grows to which way you shave to make it less itchy. so belly button downwards is good...

mrbadexample357 -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/5/2012 7:07:00 AM)

A new blade, lots of soap & water as hot as you can stand & then blanche the area in cold water.

Toysinbabeland -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/5/2012 6:06:24 PM)

I'm pretty sure straight lemon juice will help *runs quietly*

Ninebelowzero -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/5/2012 6:08:28 PM)

Soyokaze -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/8/2012 5:45:14 PM)

I use an epilator everywhere, but I'm a guy. Since I started taking spironolactone, I only get a couple of really problematic ingrown hairs and some redness/tenderness each time. Everyone reacts differently to them though. Before I started on spironolactone my ingrown hairs would be horrific, but I have unnaturally thick hair.

CharmingKitty -> RE: Itchy Bambi (11/17/2012 9:26:36 AM)

Google "homemade sugar wax", you are welcome ;D
