ZenDragoness -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/10/2006 10:58:29 PM)

I establish contact via the written word. If and when the person is interesting for me i switch (soon) to the phone or a personal meeting. Webcams and sending Photos over the net  have no place in my world.

It's too much like the "Big Brother is watching" syndrome to have my personal space being broadcast...Let's be real, Anyone that is truly tech savvy could get into a video-stream. If i wish to share myself visually, i choose which still shot file is to be transfered.
Just my personal opinion.
And yes, i have had still shots used of me without my permission, and had to get a blog shut down until they were removed.

I was talking to a submissive recently that was surprised to discover that people can record  your play and show it to others anytime they want too.  One person I knew actually discovered the dom actually had stills of her play on his yahoo account. I really wanted to ask 2 questions.
1st. How importain is cam sessions to your training or getting to know one another?
2nd. Has anybody had their  image used  without their permission or have had great experiences from having a cam to interact with ?
Thank you

Damn it. Someone let the cat out of the bag. What the hell is going to happen to my cam porn collection now?

Kedikat -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 1:50:36 AM)

1:If online cam has been the only interaction, then do not put any importance into it, other than any gain to yourself. Divorce it from the one on the other end of the tenuous waves. Take what you gain from it, and do not attach too much to the other end. Take it like an instructional video.

2: If so. I want royalties.

I am not an expert, however I would assume unless someone has some sophisticated equipment it is not that easy to do.

Why someone would do that if it is someone they care for is beyond me but this is the net and the net is simply that.....the net, and you never know what someone will do

Actually, any thing streaming into your PC is held and compiled to view/hear etc....It isn't hard to save incoming video/audio to files. some are held as a file as they are being received and can be diverted to a saved format. All data is saved/held while being decoded into the appropriate format to be viewed heard. You can snag those .mov etc  files if you can find the place they are held.

Sorry Caveman, it was a dirty job, but someone had to do it.

Kedikat -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 3:41:34 AM)

I knew a fellow who worked for a certain security branch.
He sat in a van near the building that the particular taget was in.
If the target used a landline or cell phone, keyboard, it was all logged, word for word, keystroke or file.
Network traffic in a building can be recorded.
Most of it all happens on a specific frequencies. Monitor the frequency close enough and at low enough gain, and you tell everything to one nearby.
Consider that the internet requires specific protocols and addresses to get info from here to there ( everywhere ). And you have absolutely no privacy on the net. PGP can screw with the powers that be in your point to point communications. But big brother knows any of the kinks you chat about here, if he cares to know.

awhisper -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 3:50:34 AM)

Yes Kedikat, i've been aware of such capabilities for some time. O/our privacy is at the mercy of many, but since i am not ashamed of my activities in the least, it will not interfere with my world. If those with the power wanted to make life difficult for any one of us it would not matter what had been done, as anything can be twisted to suit the needs of the corrupt. Alas, i will keep up with my orgasmic existence, keep them entertained, until they are tired of watching/listening. *giggle*

Kedikat -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 4:13:16 AM)

I would like if everybody would include the hot words randomly in all communications, so as to overload the capacities of the snoopers.
Osama, allah, president, it's da BOMB, liberal, uranium, great satan, etc......Hi there TIA :)

Kedikat -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 4:14:48 AM)

It would be so much fun and such a great use of computing power of the snoopers if the whole forum system was in PGP.
But I have no idea if it could be done.

I own a cam, its somewhere in a drawer in this house. Used it with friends and family that I know personally to show off, new grandsons, new furry babies and a couple times a few friends and I had a "who has the worst/best morning pillow hairdo" contest. Other than that I have used the "threat" of it to ditch a few that said they were female and I knew differently. Saved me a little time on the weeding out process.

You didn't mention the NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, Allah, Koran, etc in your post.

LaTigresse -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 4:39:38 AM)

you must put on spandex pants and shake your bonbon to a Ricky Martin song with a close up of ........your bonbon! ( I am assuming he was implying a bonbon is a hiney here)

this is where Aileen's dancing bananas should come in.............

LaTigresse -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 4:41:54 AM)

I thought the bonbon was up front side.( just my idea of what Ricky was into ) But aside from that, I have to my embarassment stared at  some long haired male's bonbons. pretty darn sweet till I saw the front side :) Ahhh still a sweet bonbon, just not one that will get my bonbon in it.

Praise allah.
I wonder if bush is now a hot word to the CIA etc . All those fun things we like to do to a sweet juicy bush may be nasty threats to G dubbya now.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 5:32:21 AM)

Hmmm... Bush, Bushco, Osama, Allah... damnit, now I forgot what I was gonna say... grrrrr

Ah yes... the use of the cam. Ok, I use mine... like someone else said, to collect dust. But on occasion I do use it to prove that I'm really the person in my pic. As far as having tit shots... well, there are plenty of those around... I have nice tits... particularly for a woman my age, so yeah, I show 'em off... I go for the beads when at a biker rally. And since it would be really hard to duplicate my one of a kind tat on any program I'm not really worried about fakes being out there either. And yes, some pics have surfaced and one of my kids did recognize my tat in those pics... his reaction? He thought it was cool.

But as far as bad experiences.. I had a dear friend once that wanted more then anything to get back together with her ex, so much so that she agreed to cyber on cam with him... Later on, when he was through playing her for the fool he let her know that their "session" was in front of a room full of his friends. They were laughing and having a wonderful time at her expense. Was he telling the truth? Did he really have a room full of people over there? Who knows... but I do know it devastated her.

Jewel

edited to add... you're right Kedikat... it's fun.

MHOO314 -> RE: When camming can get you in trouble? (6/11/2006 5:36:35 AM)

I am very against webcamming in almost all circumstances---for many of the reasons offered here---I don't have one personally because I work at home, what I do is very high security and I quite frankly don't have the time or see the allure---as Raven stated, I am looking for something real--not a video. As for its use--I hear all the time that the one in the video may not be who they say---pics are used as stills later and even the video appears later elsewhere and there is no guarantee who is watching at the other end---like the story of the fraternity and the unsuspecting submissive----IMHO it's another venue to be exploited.
