I have been wondering if anyone else out there who has this strange fear of just seeing anything resembling photos, videos, or even fakes of the typical "Grey" species alien. (Short, thin, large head, and large black eyes)

Now, it's not like I flip out or anything. I just get this inside fear and chills up and down my spin.

I had this problem since I was a young child. Recently, I been reading more on UFO's and Aliens and I feel I know more about the culture, but the fear when I see a Grey still exists.

No. I don't believe that sentient aliens exist so I just kinda giggle when I see the pictures because they look funny to me.

i've never heard of that particular fear, but i guess it's a perfectly natural thing, to fear the unknown. or maybe your fear is more akin to the clown type of fear, who knows.

btw, i forgot to welcome you to the board, and thanks for contributing and posting :)

Thank you for the welcome.

I also thought about it may be just a form on the clown fear. My brothers wife has that, but I don't react like she does so I wasn't sure. She will turn away from the image, as with me, I face my fear, but it still gives me the chills.

Do not laugh at things this man may be speaking about, no I have not ran into anything and do not wish too!

I have experienced thing that as a child still makes me sleep with the lights on in every part of my place!

I wish this man hope and some peace something happen to him, it may be someone whom hurt him and
he has not remember it, or it could be something he may had experince as a real time event!

No matter what something happen to him, and many times we do laugh only because we ourself will not address
the unknown!

There once was a show called "One Step Beyond" I was a not born when it was made but reruns of this show frighten
me for years!

The base of stories were strange unexplained happens, frightening things , ghost, twins who were thousands a miles away form
one another but had similar illness ! The man who wanted place his wife in a mental hospital but the doctor who came and took her away
later came and she was not found again! But she had been speaking with someone who was never seen!

It had explain things that were one step beyond what we knew!

This is my story, my mother would hide and bolt her bedroom door so my father with his crazy ways could not reach her!

She would take my twin and leave me alone in the other room!

As I laid wondering about reading the dictionary I looked up at the window, now I was awake and there was a creature sharp pointed eye wide open and a
purple and light purple cap on!

It took me a minute to see it clearly, it scares me now but he was flowing and he was watching me!

My mother would put a case of draws and other things to stop my father who was 6 ft tall!

I broke the door and move the large chest of draws I was in that room so fast and screaming!

I can not see what this op has saw but I know I tried not to remember it, but as years went by I remember what have happen to me!

I still do not sleep with the lights off, my worst fear is if the light were to go out what would I do????

I have never made anything in the dark!

Please do not laugh this op had something traumatic happen him! We all have something I was born with the "veil or the caul sign"!

People whom know of this said "they wish they cloud have it but it is a nightmare!

I will not go into why it is a nightmare but just to say as a child my twin and I had things so strange happen, but not one person believe us!

I had just learn of this from a person who knew of this! It has warned me and helped me, but it also made us act different my mother told us
we were born with something , but she never explain all it to us!

I wish she had and it would explain so much to us!

My twin dreamt some number for the C.a, lottery I told her to pay it, we do not do the gambling thing! But she told me I will pay it!

She came home and had this look of "I did not play it" I said "why not" she replied "I forgot"!

Everyone here it came out for 1 million dollars!

But it was not our time to win, so it was okay we both laughed and moved on!

She still dreams numbers, but as she tells me in her sleep! She leaves off 2 number each time lol !

They called it a gifted and many want to have it, it has save us from so many disasters so many things it is a gifted but
it has it sides too it!

Greys, Nordics, Reptilian and Robotic.

These are your classic alien species. So I take it that you have a fear of the Greys but not of the others?

I think I would be scared shit less of the Reptilians myself.

Anyway I look at it this way, If they exist which I am sure they do, they are more observers than they are dangerous.

What the great UFO investigator Stanton T. Friedman said, "If they have been coming here all these years, and traveling millions or billions of miles to get here, if they intended to harm us, I think they would have done it long ago."

Second, any race that has the technology to travel light years to get to Earth, is probably so advanced that they see us as children or even mental defective rather than a threat.

That is the weird part about it! I knew of the other alien races (I listen to Coast to Coast AM a lot), but for some reason it is only the Greys that give me the chills.

Do you believe in any kind of extra-terrestrial life in the universe? Even just simple organisms or bacteria?

Fair enough, I'm not sure about it either. I never had an encounter. At least, not one that I remember anyway. I seem to have dreams about it a lot though. I tend to play it off because like I said, I do watch shows on it, read books, and listen to Coast to Coast AM.

No I do not fear the Greys because I am quite certain that they do not exist.

There is a theory about their "origin." It turns out it was dear old mom all along. WARNING TO THE OP, THE SITE CONTAINS A PICTURE OF A GREY (I don't want to be responsible for you having a freak out).

I do believe that there is life on other worlds and probably advanced civilizations as well - given the size and age of the universe, the law of averages practically guarantees it. I do not, however, believe any aliens have ever visited earth. There is simply no evidence to suggest that such has ever happened. Will we ever be visited? It is possible, but it is not probable.

Sure. I have identified about five to eight alien species that have been heavily involved in evolving us humans from animal status to semi-cognitive beings. Greys are not among them. Greys are fakes.

A good explanation of why there most likely is not sentient life on other planets.

hi, glad to see you back. agree with your sentiments except i think there is plenty of evidence to suggest alien visitations, from cave paintings to modern pictures and videos. i suppose one could argue there's no 'proof', but there's plenty of 'evidence'.

thanks for the links, i love studies on human anatomy in relation to anthropology and how it affects us. but i don't think there's much to the facial confusion links you posted. perhaps they are correct, and some sci fi writer imagined up the grey face based on memories of their mom's distorted face as a baby, but i doubt it.

how many years (thousands?) before you think humans will become fully, or reasonably cognitive? and by cognitive, do you mean (loosely) as more advanced in that we will grasp things we can't even imagine now, and be able to detect all (not just some) of the basic forces and energy all around us?

I rather suspect they are due to vague memories of surgeons and nurses with a hygienic cap over their mouth and nose.

thanks, good link. but the best they claim is...

"but it also cannot rule out at high confidence that abiogenesis is a rare, improbable event,"

so, they're arguing, it's rare. and they admit we're totally ignorant of how rare it is, or not. fine. now going back to math and probabilities, considering there are billions of known galaxies, each with billions of solar systems, each with billions of planets..it's almost a mathematical truism that life exists outside of our solar system.
